[Cassie's POV]
I watch Aro sashay down the corridor. I can sense Carlisle's eyes on me. I look up to find him staring at me. He looks heart broken.
"Carlisle is everything okay?"
"What? Erm, yes of course. Why ask?" I can see through his lie.
"Carlisle I know you. Something is wrong. Please tell me!" I beg. I hate not being able to help him. He looks away from my pleading eyes.
"I have one question, how in God's name are you alive? I was there! I watched you die!" His voice raises and cracks as he says the last words.
*Flash Back To Cassie's "Death"*
"Don't kill her, I beg you! Kill me instead! I'll do anything, just don't take the girl." Carlisle pleads. He is hung on a cross. Tied to the wooden posts like Jesus, minus the nails through his hands and feet.
"Carlisle, darling, it's okay. Don't worry about me, just try to save yourself!" Cassie whispers. She is lying on the ground, slowing dying. A weak mundane, left for dead. Carlisle writhes in pain as he watches his love die in front of him.
"NO!" He screams, "NO! YOU SICK PEOPLE! YOU KILLED HER JUST FOR FUN!" His voice goes to a barely audible whisper, "Cassie. I love you." He hangs his head in defeat.
