"WHAT!? Great..." Hana sighed as she heard the story of last night from a zombie like Sohee.

"I really *sniff* really like him Han," she wiped her still watering red, swollen eyes, damaging the skin even more.

"I know..." Hana replied. She wanted to say more but she couldn't. She wasn't one who knew how to express her feelings well or console others.

Even Hana hadn't yet gotten a chance to express her true love. Jake? When will she finally fall in love with that boy... And sorrow? That's an inextricable part of everyone's life and in those times she just locked herself in, till it was finally over.

"I know it will be over Han. I know I'll be over him soon but right now it hurts. It really really hurts a lot. No matter how much I cry it still hurts. Like... I literally! actually! feel pain in my chest. What bullshit," Sohee started crying again after trying not to for the nth time.

Hana patted the girl's back.
"It's okay Sohee. At least we know he wasn't a good guy before your feelings became deeper," Hana rubbed her arms trying to calm her down.

"I hate myself so much because *sniff* because I don't really hate him at all," she hid her face in her hands. "Do you think I was too desperate for a boyfriend? That I started liking him all of sudden? After fighting so much...? He could've at least just remained friends with me."

Sohee's phone vibrated. She picked it up and saw the reply. "I'm stepping out for a while," Sohee got up after Hana nodded.

She headed to her room and was out after wearing a big jacket, a cap and sun glasses.

"I'll be back," she notified Hana.

"Hi..." Jake looked at a weirdly dressed Sohee but he didn't ask why. He knew...

"Let's get to the point. When are you telling Han?" She asked.

Jake looked down with his lips tightly pursed. He'd ask "tell her what?" But he knew very well what she was talking about.

"Soon," he replied.

"Jake, look you're a good guy," she paused as their eyes met. "Well at least I thought you were. I mean... You can prove you are... Like... AGH WHAT A MESS!!" she yelled.

"Look I can't sweet talk okay? Han is literally being stupidly selfless and is hurting herself because of you. I can't tell you everything because I don't want to butt in your problems but that doesn't mean I'll let you fool my best friend around like that."

"I understand.. But I want you to know that I also lo-" he paused. "Like... Like her a lot. I didn't mean to. I know I shouldn't have but I do. So, don't worry. I will quickly settle my feelings because I too don't want her to hurt," Jake smiled.

It was painful to watch his forced smile. Anyone could tell he'd burst into tears at any moment that's why Sohee decided to leave. Leave, before she felt further pity. It wasn't her place to sympathize, it was Hana's decision whether to forgive him or not.

"I really wish you both wouldn't have ever come in our lives," she mumbled and left after waving him goodbye.

*A month later*

"Have you heard? The principal's son's getting engaged," a girl laughed.

"Really? No way... He literally never talked to any girl. Bummer... I liked him," another girl sighed.
