Narrator P.O.V
Hailee kept her gaze onto Y/n. There were no more words that seemed to be exchanged between the two. Y/n didn't have anything left to say, and she didn't want to be anywhere near Hailee at the moment, so she picked up her things and left Hailee's office.
There were so many emotions running through Hailee's head, that she didn't hear the sounds of her office door open. She didn't hear the loud foots steps on the marble flooring, and she didn't hear her name being called. Her eyes were locked on the window, looking outside, feeling completely out of it. The only thing that did seem to have her attention was the words that y/n had spoke.
I don't want to get involved with you anymore... Emily. I love Emily. Y/n's voice rang clear.
Emily doesn't exist. Hailee recalled what Noelle had said that morning during breakfast. So I figure that the one you should make her fall in love with is Hailee Steinfeld whom she hates.
Hailee took a deep breath trying to shut off her thoughts.
"Hailee"
Hailee finally woke up to reality when she felt someone touch her. She jumped back a bit scared, she didn't notice the other persons presence until now. She pulled back from their hold and came face to face with the one person she didn't want to see. Niall.
He looked happy, with a smile plastered on his face, and all hailee could do was roll her eyes. She never technically hated anyone, but Niall was an exception. He cheated on her, and that was all she needed to not want anything to do with him anymore. She didn't want him anywhere near her life, and now that y/n was back in the picture there was something screaming in her gut that told her to keep him away from the young girl. She didn't know why, but the thought of having him anywhere near y/n made her angry, and worry.
"Who gave you permission to enter my office" Hailee rolled her eyes, taking a few steps back as she walked over to her desk.
"Well actually there is something I--" Niall began to explain but hailee cut him off. She didn't care.
"Stop" She shook her head. "Im tired, and I don't want to deal with you." Hailee sighed.
"Im not here for you" it was Nialls turn to scoff. "So don't flatter yourself. However I decided to be nice and say my hellos to an old friend. You know since im here"
"we are not friends, and you need to stay away from me" Hailee stood up straight, arms crossed in front of her chest.
"Always with the cold shoulder Haiz," Niall rolled his eyes. "But like I said before I wasn't here for you. We have another business to take care of and since I was in Los Angeles i'd stop by. Its been a couple of years since we broke up. A lot of things happen"
"You cheated on me" Hailee huffed
"Like I said a lot of things happen. Why don't we put it all behind us and start over as friends" He smiled taking a few steps towards the girl. Hailee didn't bother. She was pissed off even more that he even dared make such suggestions.
"Like Hell!" Hailee shouted. "I really don't want to see you anymore! So leave me alone. Okay" Hailee walked past the blond boy, pushing his shoulder back with hers. Walking out of her office, Hailee ran her fingers through her hair. She needed space, need air, need... She didn't even know what she needed. All she knew was she never felt so helpless.
Griffin walked into Hailees office, and was a little taken back when he saw Niall looking out the panorama window. Griffin actually liked Niall and saw him as one of his best friends. He wasn't even bothered with the fact the Niall cheated on Hailee. It was something between the two of them and didn't want to get involved in the drama.
