ELIAS

Cole and I were currently sitting on my bedroom floor, asking questions about each other. Well, Cole is the one asking the questions. He was a curious and joyful boy.

"When is your birthday?? Wait- let me get out my phone so that I can put it on my calendar. I'm not good at remembering things." He chirped, grabbing his phone out of his back pocket.

It was quiet until he hummed and looked into my eyes. I stared into his blue hues, and he smirked slightly, which made me clear my throat. "My birthday is December 25th. I'm sure it's a day you'll remember considering it is Christmas day if you do celebrate." I explained.

The smile on the blonde's face became more significant, and he squealed. "What? That is so cool! Do you get twice as many presents on Christmas?" He wondered as he wiggled his toes.

As he was waiting for the answer, someone knocked on the door and interrupted our Q&A. I moved my gaze from the blonde and looked at the doorway to see Taylor. "Cole, are you pestering the new boy?" The man lightly smiled.

"No, he's fine. He was asking questions about me, is all." I explained to the man in charge, and he nodded. "He's nice company." I continued.

Taylor looked at Cole with a look that made Cole slowly walk up to him. "Bye, Elias!" Cole skipped happily out of my room, and Taylor lingered for a few more seconds. "I'll get you for dinner later, and you'll meet all the boys. They're not here in the first place because they're in town. See you." Taylor smiled and closed the door behind him.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and collapsed on the ground. This has been a lot of being social, and I'm not used to it. I've always been a quiet boy. I never really had friends, let alone a boyfriend of any sort.

But I knew I was gay when I started dreaming about being with boys. I always thought men were attractive and didn't think anything romantic about a girl.

When I was growing up, my parents were hardly around. The only person I got considered 'close' with was one of the maids, Marcy. She was technically a mother to me. She fed me, bathed me, tucked me into bed, and played with me. She was a real friend. I appreciate her because if she wasn't in my life, I don't know what I'd be doing right now.

But I'm stuck here in a gay institution.

My eyes started to water, thinking about how far away from home I was. Even if my home wasn't homey, it was where I had been for 19 years.

I heard laughter and distant talking downstairs, so I assumed that the rest of the boys were here. Checking the clock, I saw that I had been staring into space for about 45 minutes. I quickly took off my pink crop top and pulled on a black t-shirt. I put on some pink sweatpants and matched a pink beanie on my head. I loved the way my little hairs stuck out of my beanie. It suits my face well.

I decided to go shoeless but have black socks on. I knew Taylor would get me for dinner soon since all the boys were home. And I wanted to look decent if any boy barges in here like Cole did.

I heard someone knock on my door, and I instantly told them to come in. A boy with pink curly hair opened the door and smiled widely. "Elias, right? I'm Liam!" The boy greeted. I nodded my head in response and looked at myself in the mirror.

Liam slowly and quietly walked up behind me and looked at me through the mirror. "I heard you weren't the talkative type. That'll change soon. You'll be very vocal in the future." Liam babbled.

He saw the way I looked at myself, and he frowned. "Hey, It's okay to be shy. " The smaller boy whispered in my ear from behind me and chills instantly traveled through my body. "I've never been told I was pretty before, and earlier Cole said something among those lines." I whispered, randomly spurting out my thoughts.

It was true; I'd never been told I was attractive. Marcy told me I wasn't ugly, but I never thought I was appealing for someone to like.

Liam looked upset, and I was sure he would yell, but he seemed to calm down with deep breaths. "Dinner is ready; come down after you get ready or if you need to do something really quick." Liam's lips grazed my ears, and I bit my lip due to this unusual feeling. He walked out of my room and left the door cracked.

That was weird. Why did he look like that? Did I say something wrong?

I waited in my room for about three more minutes, and I decided to go downstairs. I looked at my surroundings when I noticed that the pictures hung before weren't on the walls. My confusion grew more. Why would they take down pictures?

And most importantly, what are they trying to hide with those photos? I wish I had gotten a better look at them earlier.

The chatter and laughter got louder as I became close to the dining room. I heard chairs scraping against the hardwood floors, and I cringed. My anxiety grew more and more when I arrived at the doorway that led into the dining room.

I peeked into the room discreetly and saw all the boys with smiles. They seem happy and cared for. I saw Liam, Cole, and Taylor with four other boys I hadn't met yet.

There was a man with beautiful dark skin and beautiful plump pink lips. Every time he smiled; you could see his pearly white straight teeth. He seemed very intimidating since he was tall and very dominating looking. I heard a boy that looked around 5'8 call the man 'Paxton.' The boy had green eyes and beautiful Lucious hair.

I heard Liam call for him, which made me realize that the boy's name was Jayden. I was viewing all the boys when I heard someone call my name.

"Elias! You're here. Come in, and we'll introduce you to the rest of the boys." Cole smiled widely. I looked at his lips, and they looked swollen. That's weird. I hope he's okay.

I slowly walked in and sat down at the only empty seat. Taylor cleared his throat, and everyone became quiet. "Elias, This is Paxton, Chase, Addison, and Jayden. You've already met the other two. Everyone, make sure you treat Elias with kindness. He's a quiet boy and very observant." Taylor warned.

He had this look in his eyes that made the others tense up. "Yes, sir." The boys all said. I looked at the other boys who were observing me. I felt very small, and I became shy, so I decided to be excused to the bathroom.

I opened the bathroom door after I got directions on where it was, and I looked at myself in the mirror after I closed and locked the door. My face was beat red, and I felt the butterflies in my stomach grow. All the boys were gorgeous, and I thought they were friendly people.

Hopefully, living here with the other's won't be so bad. But I have a feeling something is going to happen.

But, what will that be?

But, what will that be?
