Behind closed doors

Chapter 1

This is it.

My back aching from all the walking and my legs numb from sitting down. The area was filled with crowded people hurrying to catch the plane.

I was standing in front of my mum and brothers saying goodbye. It had been my mum and brothers for a long time. My dad has passed away due to a fire in my house which he all rescued us from. I was 12 years old. And now 23. My brother Max is 26 and my other brother Mason is 24. Pretty sad being the only girl because them two are protective as hell.

My whole life I have wanted to be a writer of some sort or work with a good company and I'm hoping I have more of a chance to do that in New York then where I am right now. I had a decent paying  job working in a restaurant but it was boring and tiring. So in this moment I am about to fly to my new home New York.

"I love you so much." My mum said with emotion riddled in her voice and expression.

"And I love you too mum" I replied trying not to cry.

We had gone on a few vacations over the years and I live in an apartment but this is the furthest away I will be from my family.

"Hey sis stay away from those boys" Max said seriously and my other brother shook his head agreeing to his statement.

I couldn't take them sometimes. I get they were just looking out for me but sometimes they need to chill.

Knowing I had to go soon and didn't want to be late I broke the hug apart, "Mum I really have to get going now if you wouldn't mi-"

She cut me off  replying almost instantly. " yes,  yes  we are just going to miss you so much."

She lets go of me and wipes away her tears telling me to go on the plane. I quickly gave my brothers a hug and did the handshake we all learnt as kids and we all said our goodbyes.

I will miss my family. They have been so supportive to what I want to be and been there for me since day one.

I turned around one more time when reaching the top to wave goodbye and see there faces for the last time for a while.

"Bye!" I shouted loud enough for them to hear. And all returned their byes.

I walked a bit and reached the plane. I took a deep breath and entered.

That's it there's no Turing back now.
