Loving you is a losing game (Haikyuu)

Chapter 1

Kenma was sitting at the cafeteria table in the back playing Animal Crossing on his switch. When all of a sudden two boys sit. Down at the table across from him. Kenma didn't move his eyes away from the screen until one of the boys grabbed his switch from him. "What the hell?! Give that back!" Kenma yelled obviously pissed off. "In a second just let me ask you so,etching first." Kenma rolled his eyes but stopped trying to get it back. "How about we form a bet?" Kenma raised an eyebrow at that. "A bet? For what and why?" The boys grinned " you ask out your best friend Kuroo I think his name was." Kenma widened his eyes a little. "Kuroo? I don't even like him that way, why don't you bother someone else." Kenma said rolling his eyes.

The boys only smirked in response " if you do the bet we will get you any gaming console you want and a game."  Kenma gave a small shrug. "Alright I'll do it." He said ignoring the small bit of guilt he felt in his chest. "Great we will meet again next Friday." And with that the boys left not even giving Kenma time to respond. Kenma sighed he can't believe he accepted some stupid bet, and might possibly lose his best friend because of him being selfish.

He headed out of the cafeteria to where Kuroo was sitting in the courtyard with some of his friends, laughing and chatting. He slowly headed over to the table where they stopped laughing and looked at him. Kenma shifted nervously before saying, "Kuroo can we talk? Alone." Kuroo looked at him skeptically before showing one of his small smiles "Sure!" They walked away from the table into the middle of the courtyard. "So what did you want to talk about?" Kuroo Asked tilting his head slightly with one of his sweet smiles. Kenma bit the inside of his cheek, fidgeting with his fingers slightly eyes avoiding Kuroos. Ignoring the guilt in his chest he said....

"Kuroo I like you."
