Katsuki and Izuku, both street dogs, were born and raised in back alleys. The two went through thick and thin, wary of humans, uncatchable. They were known to shy away from humans, unwilling to accept any food from their hands. Katsuki, the larger of the two, a large flaxen coat dog with cold, dangerous red eyes, scars painting his muzzle. He was known for his explosive, protective personality, roaring and snapping at anyone who got close to him or Izuku.

Izuku was the smaller of the two, coming up to Katsuki's shoulder, coat a dark blackish green, scars on every part of his body. He was the nervous one, but he always seemed happy and chipper, known for his nerves and always wagging tail. Heroes, animal control, and civilians have all tried to take the dogs in, trying to save the dogs from dying on the street. The two always refused and shied away from them. The two were inseparable, once they had managed to trap Izuku, but Katsuki nearly tore them to shreds, denting and tearing the cage apart to free Izuku. After that, they were to be captured and adopted together.

That was until one night, a regular Saturday. It was nearing the evening when Izuku, alone, burst out of an alleyway, screaming bloody terror. He barked and screamed, finding Red Riot, who sat on a bench, tugging and pulling at his pants, a desperate look in those glossy eyes. Kirishima was on alert, following the bleeding dog into an alleyway, watching as Izuku tripped and stumbled, crying out, rushing through twists and turns. They came to a dead-end where Katsuki laid, in a puddle of his own blood.

The dog's flaxen coat was dirty, soaked with blood, panting heavily. He looked to be in pain, cracking an eye open for Izuku, who whined, tail tucked, shaking with fear. Izuku looked back at him, fear of losing Katsuki shining in his green eyes, ears back, shifting as Katsuki grunted and whined in pain. Kirishima lept into action, calling for an ambulance, uncaring that ambulances were for humans, carefully picking up Katsuki, who weakly growled, but quieted with Izuku whines and shrieks of terror.

Kirishima ran steadily, Izuku beside him, blood spilling down his torso, uncaring of the mess of his bare chest. The ambulance was waiting at the entrance of the alley, stretcher ready. Kirishima transferred Katsuki to the stretcher as everyone got to work. Izuku had tried to jump into the back but tumbled, too weak. His body was weak, his leg bent at an odd angle, clearing in immense pain. Kirishima cooed and shushed the smaller dog, hauling him into the ambulance with Katsuki, holding Izuku in his lap, who melted into the contact, panting heavily. The ambulance sped off, the three heading quickly to a veterinarian hospital, who was made aware of the emergency situation.

Kirishima stayed in the hospital for hours, lying with Izuku, who refused to leave his side, and refused to sleep, terrified Katsuki would leave him. Izuku clung to him as support, lying in between his legs, head rested on his thighs. Kirishima was already buying supplies for both dogs, knowing he wasn't going to let these two be on the streets any longer.

When Katsuki was out of surgery and was declared to be stable, Izuku was let into the room, and the smaller of the two was careful to not step on any wires or disrupt Katsuki's wound, laying behind the doped up dog, laying his head on Katsuki's whining softly, grooming the dog carefully. Kirishima also accompanied Izuku into the room, sitting next to the large pen. Apparently, Kastuki was shot twice in the stomach and shoulder. Izuku had fought off the man, who was later arrested after being identified on cameras, fleeing the scene. Izuku had run after the man, dragging him by his foot, looking feral, tearing up the man's leg, till the man had kicked his leg, shattering it.

When Katsuki awoke a while later, still high, he was very displeased, glaring at the redhead, who refused to move closer, not wanting to disrupt them as Izuku whined and shook while Katsuki calmed the poor thing down, softly grooming his throat. Izuku had eventually calmed down, finally falling asleep after refusing to for hours. Katsuki quietly guarded the sleeping dog, glaring at Kirishima, who merely smiled softly at the hound.

It took weeks to get both dogs discharged and in better health in order for the two to come home with Kirishima. The man went to the vet hospital every day, building a bond with Izuku and Katsuki. Katsuki was a lot harder than Izuku, who already seemed happier in his presence. The first time Katsuki laid in his lap willingly, Kirishima burst into tears. The first time Katsuki and Izuku wagged their tails when he came to visit, Kirishima cried again. It was very endearing to see giant, 6'7, unbreakable hero Red Riot sniffle and whine, smiling big as the two dogs he rescued wagged their tails, happy to see him.

When Katsuki and Izuku both went home with Kirishima, hopped into his car, and ran around his large yard, Kirishima was ecstatic. He had live-streamed the entire day, from the second he was in the car, to when both dogs were finally asleep in his bed. He also made sure to post the blog footage to his Twitter and HeroTube channel, and more videos and adventures with Izuku and Katsuki.

From the first moment to the last moment, their first day with Kirishima, and their last, almost twelve years later. When Kirishima had adopted them at age two, to age thirteen and age fourteen, both were napping as it happened, happily curled up against each other as they went off to doggie heaven together, happy to have run into the redhead's life.

The two dogs wouldn't have it any other way.
