I finally got out of the crowded car, full of annoying little girls. I was hot and craving water from the 3 hour drive to get to the beach house. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring water bottles, and ones we did have were empty. So I had to suffer in the heat for an couple of minutes, I walked to the back of the car and opened the trunk. "OW! FUCK!" I yelped, I always forgot that the car was really hot from the never ending heat. I heard giggling near me, "Taro can be really funny sometimes!" Emiko giggled, I didn't share the same enthusiasm. "Haha, really funny." I mumbled underneath my breath, I almost took out all of my suitcases, except for the one at the bottom of the trunk. I can hear my dad grumbling about how my arm were "too short the reach the bottom of the trunk," and took out the suitcase. "Thanks Dad, I really appreciate it!" "No problem RanRan." He patted my head, while I groaned, "Dadddd-! I'm not 6 anymore!" "So your sisters can call you 'Taro' while I can't call you 'RanRan?' seems really unfair." My dad said in fake mockery. "That's honestly true, but they're like 3-14, you're like an 50 year old man or something." I laughed, my dad held his arms up and I accepted the hug. A few moments later my sisters ran over for an group hug as well.

A few minutes of "goodbyes", "I'll miss you's," and lots or tears filled with love, my dad and sisters got onto the car and drove away until I couldn't see them anymore. To take my mind off of things, I turned around and saw the Beach House carefully. "Woah!" I gasped. It really was beautiful, and big too! I was way too busy inspecting the exterior of the house that I didn't notice someone tapping me on the shoulder. "Earth to Rantaro! Are you even alive?" I turned around to see my best friend Kaede Akamatsu, and a male figure holding her hand. "Oh! Hello Kaede." "Sorry to startle you, but I wanted you to meet my boyfriend Shuichi!" When she said the name "Shuichi" I got an instant memory of me and him bumping into each other in that old school area. "It's rea-really nice to m-meet you again Ran-Rantaro!" Shuichi stammered. "It's really nice to meet you as well Shuichi. I hope that we can get to know more about each other, Kaede told me how much of an lovely person you are." I told him, Kaede started blushing profusely, and Shuichi gave me a weak smile. We talked about our daily lives, some accomplishments and new friends we wanted to make while we stay here. We heard the faint sound of the ice-cream truck coming closer and closer, until it came to an halt in front of the mansion. "He-hey guys, could we possibly g-get some ic-ice cream, I'll pay." Shuichi asked us both. "Of course, but don't worry about paying for me, I have some pocket money left anyways!" Kaede said enthusiastically. "I'm fine, I don't want to seem like an bother to you two, I'll go inside so I can explore and unpack." I told them. "W-well, we'll see yo-you later then?" "Of course, you two enjoy the ice-cream!"

The two of them ran to the ice-cream truck, while I unlocked the door with the spare key, already imaging what new memories and the new friends I'll be making.

Hi everyone reading this! I hoped you enjoyed the first part to my first fanfic! When I was writing the draft in my notebook, it looked a lot different then it did when I was typing it out, and I'm really glad that I changed some stuff about it!
