Forever Fall

Night-time at the dorms in JNPR dorm Pyrrha is sitting by the window looking out frowning as Nora's jumping on her bed she ask "How come Jaune gets home so late" She jumps again while Ren works on his guns Ren said "He's become rather scarce ever since he's been fraternizing with Cardin" Ren aims, and Nora jumps said "That's weird".

She jumps again "Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow" Nora jumps "We need our rest" She spins in mid-air and lands on her bed Pyrrha looks down for a minute then raise her head she aggressively said "I'm sure our leaders knows exactly what he's doing" Nora said "Hmm" She and Ren look to one another.

Unknown to them outside their dorm is Jaune who open the door a bit and listens "I guess so" He lower his head and close the door suddenly a voice said "Hey Jaune" Surprising Jaune who turns to see Ruby in her PJ's "Long time no see" Ruby points "Did you lock yourself out again" Jaune said "OH uh, nope" He scratch his head.

He raise his key "Heh, got it" Ruby nods said "So, where have you been lately" Jaune lower his key turn his head said "I uh..." He looks forward lower his head and sighs "I messed up" Ruby stare at Jaune "I did something I shouldn't have and now Cardin's got me on a leash and..." He wave his arm "...Pyrrha won't even talk to me".

Jaune sighs again looking at Ruby "I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea" He slides down against his dorm door and sitting against it looking down "I'm a failure" He turn his head, but Ruby just said "Nope" Jaune looks up ask "Nope" Ruby said "Nope" She walks to him "You're a leader now, Jaune".

She stop "You're not allowed to be a failure" Jaune raise his head ask "But, what if I'm a failure at being a leader" Ruby narrows her eyes said "Mmm..." She opens them "...nope" Jaune laughs a bit as Ruby sits next to him Jaune said "You know, you're not the easiest person to talk about this kind of stuff" Ruby looks to Jaune she said "Nope".

Jaune hits his head on the door "Jaune, maybe you were a failure when you were a kid" Jaune sighs slide down a bit more Ruby raise her arm "And you've might've ever been a failure the first day we met" Jaune sighs more sliding down "But you can't be one now" Ruby moves her head "You know why" Jaune looking down he said "Uhhh, because-".

He raise his head to look to Ruby who said "Because it's not just about you anymore" She points at Jaune "You've got a team now, Jaune" Ruby points to herself "We both do" Jaune looks to her "And if we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us" Jaune lower his head a bit then raise it "We have to put our teammates first..."

Ruby stands up "...and we second" She puts her hands on her hips as Jaune looks down "Your team deserves a great leader, Jaune" Jaune raise his head "And I think that can be you" Ruby turns opens the door to her dorm she raise her hand "Have a good night, Jaune" With that Ruby close the door leaving Jaune alone.

Jaune stands up he turns to his dorm about to open the door suddenly his scroll rings catching his attention Jaune grabs it he opens it to reveal Cardin leaving a message Jaune press a button Cardin said "Hey, it's your buddy, Cardin" Jaune listens "I know you're probably busy with that dust project I gave you..." Jaune holds his scroll "...buuut I'm gonna need you to got out and get me a bag of rapier wasps".

Jaune surprise said "Gah" Staring at the screen Cardin said "And make sure they've got some reaaally big stingers" Jaune listens "It's important, so don't screw this up" The message ends Jaune close his scroll as it rings again Jaune sighs looking down he turns and walks away unknown to him from the corner Reaper heard what Ruby said and is proud he looks forward thinking before heading for his dorm.

The next day Glynda is leading Reaper, Teams RWBY, JNPR and CDRL through a forest of red trees it's called the Forever Fall the group looks around Glynda said "Yes students, the Forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful" Reaper walking next to Ruby who smiles looks around "But we are not here to sight-see".
