M E R C Y'S POV

"WIFEY KO..." Napatingin ako agad kay Achlys. "W-wifey k-ko? Ahm, where did you get that?" Trying myself not to expose my expressions― he really had that effect on making me blank for an second.

I saw his lips formed a teasing smile. And his arms on my waist tighten. Now, I can feel more of his warmth. But he hugging me from the back while we are sitting in a couch.

"Yeah... wifey ko. Don't you like that?" He had his chin in my shoulders. And I can feel his eyes on me. I had my eyes straight and bravely looked at him.

"Ahm," But I found his eyes looking straight at my eyes. Tila akong natutunaw sa paraan ng pagtitig niya. His eyes mesmerize me. I can't pull my eyes off him, hindi ko kaya. Masyadong nahuhumaling ako sa mata niya.

But I suddenly remember something. Secrets. Agad na napaiwas yung mga mata ko sa kanya. I held my eyes somewhere, and guilt consume me. Come to think about it, I still feel uneven knowing that I am hiding something from him. I don't what to look at his eyes with so much hatred on me― if ever my identity will be reveal.

It will destroy me. I don't want to just look at his eyes, like I am not hiding anything. I'm so far from pure. We... don't fit in. Maybe destiny just hates me.

"You keep on avoiding my eyes, is it hard on looking at me?" I felt his arms off him, kaya napatingin naman ako dito. I saw how he stood up, at lumipat ito sa kabila ko.

Without any warning he grabbed my chin and made me look at me. Then again, I saw his face, his eyes and his smile. Perfect. A perfect image to look at.

"Ganyan, kailangan pa talaga kitang pilitin para titigan ako?" He held both of my cheeks. "Is my wifey getting grumpy?" He chuckled. Napatulala naman ako. Just being speechless and just watching him.

I was actually bit annoyed the way he talks at me. Kaya tinanggal ko yung kamay niya. My mood seems to change now, naiinis ako sa paraan ng pagsalita niya sakin. Basta! I just hate it.
