Prologue of When I Was Rose
My name is Alexandra Rose.
I was born in Greenshaw, London 1765
My mother and father were Rendell Rose and Francine Rose.
Founders of the Greenshaw Comittee and owners of the largest manor in London.
The Rose Manor.
Though it was my home, it was never home to me. It was a place of buisness meetings, lectures, studies, and fighting.
If my parents were not lecturing me on how a proper young lady should act, they were yelling at each other, and occasionaly broke vases and plates.
Though I was soon to hit "spring age", I had no inrest in marrying men.
Men who were too old and would then leave me alone, men who would beat me, men who would put buisness over love, I would have none of that.
I was free.
I loved to roam our gardens and explore. If I was given an option of discusing politics with men or playing dress up with other girls, I would choose politics.
My mother believed I would never marry because my personality was not as retained as her's.
And I believed it too. Until the war came.
The war had struck all of London, including the Rose Manor.
My father who so desperatly wanted to join the fight against the enemy, but fell ill.
So that is when I decided I would go in his place.
I would no longer be Alexandra Rose. I would become Alexander Rose, the secret son of the Rose's.
I would fight, becuase I had learned how. I would go through training, to prove I was "a man"
But one day I was captured by the enemie's General.
His name was Alexander Lexington
And this is the story of how I fell in love with the enemy.
