A loud ringing of an alarm could be heard inside a dimly lit room of Miss Miranda's Dormitory for Girls. The continuous sound startled the sleeping teen lying on her bed while staring at the room's ceiling. Despite being awake, the teenage girl seemed to still be slightly unaware of the reality around her. She refused to move a single muscle out of her bed until one of the girls living inside the dormitory banged on her door due to the continuous alarm from her phone.
"Aria, stop lazing about and turn off your alarm! You're going to wake every living soul inside this dorm. Don't make me report you to the dorm mother," a voice screamed from the other side of her door.
"I'm up! You can stop screaming now." Reluctantly, Aria sat up and reached for her phone placed on the wooden bedside table. She sat staring contemplatively at her phone's screen before turning off the alarm and letting out a sigh. It was currently 7:30 in the morning. Only thirty minutes left to prepare for another day at school. There were no messages received in her phone. Quite frankly, it should be expected due to it being owned by a regular teenage social recluse with very little contact from her parents.
The girl rose from her bed and walked towards her wardrobe to obtain her school uniform. It consisted of a black mid length dress with a rounded flat collar. The fabric of the dress was made of polyester, which made the dress mostly prone to wrinkling. Putting on her school uniform, she wasted no more time in gathering her belongings such as her lunch and textbooks. By the time she went out of the door, the girl looked at her phone and saw that she only had fifteen minutes left to travel to her school.
Thankfully, the dorm was only a ten minute walk from her school. Aria hurriedly went down the stairs while scrambling to make her messy, jet black hair look a little more presentable than a bird's nest. As she exit the dormitory, Aria came across a few girls from her school, Saint Joseph High. Some from the group of unknown girls slightly paused to stare at her as they began muttering to themselves a few interesting rumors about her that had been circulating in their school for a while now.
"Was that the girl chasing after the president?"
"I think so... She's the same girl that had been hanging around with Lianne, right?"
"Yep, it's the same one. Honestly, she's such a leech! That girl is the reason why Lianne can't hang out with other people during lunchbreaks."
"I bet you she's one of those people that always begs for attention."
"I wonder how Lianne stand that girl. Literally, she's the only one that creeps me out by acting all gloomy at school. Is she a stalker or something?"
"I don't know but be quiet or she might hear you!"
Aria scoffed at their statements and continued to walk towards their school, while browsing through her playlist. She reached for her earphones inside her bag and began to listen to her playlist on a slightly louder volume to tune out the outside world. It was not her fault that she just doesn't relate to their topics when it comes to conversations. It's not like she can talk about her romantic life and daring adventures with friends around the city, which were practically nonexistent.
As for the "president," it wasn't her fault that someone decided to slip an envelope through the small cracks of her locker that fell after she opened it. It also definitely wasn't her fault that the well-known older student, Aiden Greyson, was standing right beside her once she turned to throw the envelope away. To other people's eyes, it looked like she was handing a love letter of sorts to the senior, which resulted to rumors about her, "a creepy school girl chasing after the student council president's love," to become widely spread in the school. It had also resulted to Aiden's suspicious and slightly disgusted stares towards Aria.
