The winds are cold,
And the air has a bite,
I'm not sure if I can survive this long winter's nightWith windows fogged up and the streets all clear,
My heart begs for you to be with me here.Yet what has happened cannot be undone,
I know in my soul that without you,
this war cannot be wonArmies rage and march to the beat of my heart
As the canons roar and my happiness departs.Alcohol and fire burns my veins
but nothing I drink can erase my painYour laughter, your face and your lovely grace
haunts the depths of my mind where our memories took place.Losing you meant losing my joy
Because now I am nothing more than a broken soldier boy
