Home at Last

Chapter one

The first years were getting sorted into their houses, the upperclassmen occasionally clapping when a new student was sorted into their own house. Jo laughs as Alex raises his eyebrows at Astoria who is flirting with the Slytherin quidditch captain. Alex and Ron start a hyper conversation about the Quidditch team the Chudley Cannons. Jo watches as Alex tries to get a word in failing miserably, biting her tongue Jo turns her attention back to the sorting ceremony. Alex looks towards Jo for reassurance, only to find her gaze on one of the new Slytherin students who had just been sorted. Ron taps Alex's shoulder to make sure he's paying attention, Alex snaps back to reality looking towards Ron as he continues to ramble about Quidditch. Jo nudges Draco and points towards the Gryffindor table, "is it me or is Ron being a dick?" Jo whispered her voice filled with concern. Draco looked over at the couple confused as to what Jo is talking about, "they look completely normal to me." he said, shrugging his shoulders carelessly. Jo and Alex lock eyes awkwardly across the dining hall bursting into laughter. Ron looks towards Alex, getting annoyed at the boy who's supposed to be paying attention to him and not a Slytherin girl half-way across the dining hall. After the feast Ron stands up storming off with Alex following close behind asking him what's wrong

Ron angrily turns around spitting vile words in Alex's face in a hushed but noticeable tone. Ron grabs Alex's arm harshly leaving a bruise dragging him out of the corridor away from prying eyes, as tears stream down Alex's face. Jo, Draco, Pansy, and Blaise round the corner just as Ron starts dragging Alex away as tears stream down his face. Jo and her friends walk past them as Jo grabs Alex's arm, mouthing if he's alright as Alex shakes his head eyes wide with fear. Jo's eyes go wide with anger as Ron tugs Alex out of sight.

Ron angrily stomps into the Gryffindor dormitories with Alex being dragged behind him. Ron screamed at him for two hours straight until he passed out cuddling Alex as tears streamed down his face red
