Short Scary Stories

Story 3 -the babysitter-

Zoey was watching 3 children for the Millerted's. About 9pm she heard the phone ring. She picked it up and just heard breathing. Eager the 6 year old boy, Henry asked 'Zoey, who was that?' She said it was a prank call. The youngest at 1 year old fell asleep on Zoey. She took him up to his crib. Then, the phone rang AGAIN..'just a while now' a raspy old man said. She hung up abruptly. "Who was that?" Sandra (the other child) asked. "Wrong number" Zoey replied. She was very scared to say the least. She called the operator and complained. "If they call again, call me and I will track the phone", the sweet sounding young lady answered. Zoey replied with a short ok and hung up. Not more than 5 minutes later the phone rang..."very soon now". Zoey quickly hung up and called the operator. "Get out of that house with the kids now, the phone call is coming from the upstairs of that house"Zoey couldn't grab Tommy from his crib, as that would be too dangerous, she grabbed the 2 remaining children off the sofa and ran out the door. The police came quick; the man was never found..the window was opened, the night air coming in...Tommy was dead...with a knife in his crib...
