Where it All Began

It's difficult to remember the events that transpired before I ended up here in Belle Reve Prison. All I could tell you was the pain and misery I felt being tied to that chair in that damn place before I became the Shifter. I ended up here after a searing pain in my arm where a black watch was permanently fixed to my wrist and everything went black.

I awoke one morning in an orange inmate uniform on a soft bed with all the classic shit that every prison has. There were numerous prisoners most of them looked like they had seen better days there were a few I could remember but couldn't say the names of.

A black woman wearing a black shirt, and a grey coat came up to my cell it was Amanda Waller that lady that is a puppetmaster to all her inmates "Welcome to the land of the living," she said in a neutral tone as I struggled to get I felt dizzy and sick from all the abuse I went through as I nearly cracked my head open on the hard brick wall that was to be my home for the next 3 months as she unlocked my cell door and walked me to meet the Suicide Squad I heard a few guards mention something about me being the youngest member and that it was a 'once in a lifetime opportunity' I immediately knew that was sarcastic. She walked me over to Bloosport's cell real name: Robert Dubois an aggressive assassin who was blackmailed into joining Task Force X  I never thought I would meet him in person even after seeing the movie. He nearly jumped back when he saw my appearance he looked like he'd seen a ghost "Amanda, you gotta be kidding me a kid?",  he asked inching closer to his cell "Teenage adult actually," I said my voice rising slightly at first I had seen him as an enemy but that would soon change. 

The next cell was Peacemaker's cell real name: Christopher Smith a man practically raised from birth to be a soldier and killer and a killer he is willing to kill any man, woman, or child to achieve world peace unlike Dubois, he seemed quite interested in me "An agent disguised as a child huh?" he said with his hands behind his head  "Actually, Chris, this teenage boy was subject to cruel experiments he is known as the shifter by many get used to it he is no agent" she said before guiding me to Polkadot man's cell real name: Abner Krill a man experimented on by his own mother he kills anyone he sees as his mother he was a bit quiet when we passed by his cell but he looked at me and saluted me before we came towards Ratcatcher's cell.

Real name: Cleo Cazo she had a fond connection to rats and was able to control them. When we passed by her cell she was fast asleep Amanda got out a foghorn which woke her up like an adrenalin needle she mumbled 'what' a few times before turning her attention to me "Hello, um" "Joselyn, The names Joselyn" I said extending my hand out "Joselyn nice to meet you" she said smiling shaking my hand but it was only for a few moments as we moved on to the final inmate my brother, Nanaue.

I couldn't believe I would ever see him again after so long after many years of separation I would finally see my brother again. As we came toward his cell he was fumbling with his hands then his gaze shot up at me as he smiled and laughed acting like a child about to go to Disneyworld. I ran with shocking speed towards his cell and hugged him. " This my brother," he said with his arms around me  "I can see that Nanaue." After all introductions were made,  Waller opened all the inmate's doors she had set a special rule for the squad(Harley Quinn included after her introduction)(in this AU) as they go home after so many weeks toward a secret base that was near the newly restored Corto Maltese(AU) "I carry brother" King Shark said in excitement as he laughed and lifted me up on his shoulders toward the base.

A/N Hey guys sorry for being inactive for so long, been busy with a lot of artwork, and school has been kicking me in the ass after a beautiful summer vacation(saw The Suicide Squad and Jungle Cruise in theaters all the characters were my favorite Nanaue/King Shark was my fav) The Luca fanfiction is on hold for now due to other projects I have been working on but I will try to get to it as soon as I can.
