Obscurity (2) - JJ Maybank

THE CROSS PT IV.

"Okay, hurry up, slowpoke," Aria mumbled as she walked past Freedman's Church.

"Hey, cut through here, it's faster," JJ muttered as he pulled Aria down some other streets and towards her house.

JJ and Aria ran down the streets of the cut and finally made it to her house with not much being said between them. Aria opened her door and walked into her house looking around for the keys.

"Are you sure you wanna do this, a little Dad Theft Auto?" JJ quizzed as he walked over to Aria once she found the keys.

"Why not? He left the car here when he ditched so why the hell wouldn't I?" Aria returned as she started walking to the backyard and found the old grey truck sitting there.

"Your dad will not like when he finds out," JJ shook his head, still not liking the idea.

"Look," Aria turned around to him, JJ placed his hands on her hips as hers went to his shoulders. "James left, without the car and he hasn't been back since, I don't give a shit."

Aria passed JJ the keys as she jumped into the passenger's seat. JJ opened the driver's side door and sat down while starting the car up.

He drove the car the short distance to the Chateau, Aria smiled softly when JJ placed his hand on her thigh as he drove. "This'll only take a sec. I think it's in the surf shack," JJ spoke as he pulled up the car in front of the Chateau.

"Okay," Aria mumbled.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, It's in the surf shack. I'll be right back. Got it," JJ spoke as he jumped out of the car. "Be right back," He ran towards the shed and tried to jump over some trees on the ground.

Keyword tried.

JJ fell over the trees and landed face first, Aria put her hand over her mouth to stop and laughs coming out of her mouth as JJ jumped right back up and tried to play it off.

"I'm okay!" He shouted back.

Aria grabbed the keys out and started to twirl them around in her fingers waiting for JJ, she rolled her eyes and honked on the horn since JJ was taking so long.

"I swear to God, hurry up!" Aria shouted as she opened her car door and walked around to the driver's seat so it would be easier.

Aria looked out of the corner of her eye and saw JJ arriving but with someone else. she turned her head completely and saw the body of Luke Maybank walking in front of JJ.

"What the hell?! No, immediately, no," Aria spoke as she opened the car door and stepped outside.

"No, I know," JJ sighed as he walked up with the stuff they needed.

"What is that doing here?" Aria motioned to Luke.

"Just get in the truck," JJ pointed as Luke got inside the car.

"I'm sorry. But why the fuck is your father here?! What are you doing?! What is this?!" Aria exclaimed.

"Listen to me. Listen to me, okay?!" JJ spoke as he grabbed Aria's upper arms and looked right into her eyes. "I need to get into the marina at the Island Club. There's a boat there he can take. Twenty minutes, that's all I need."

"Okay, but how do we get in, exactly?" Aria shook her head not liking the idea.

"Your friend, Jenson's mother is a Kook and would have access to it," JJ pleaded.

"No, no, hell no," Aria scoffed as JJ started to walk to the passenger's side. "And, might I remind you, that the Twinkie's gonna be a submarine in 20 minutes!"
