Serine
"Thought when I grew up, I would be the same as the ones who gave me my last name,
I would not give in, I would not partake in the same old drugs everyone else takes," -Demi Lovato, Sam Fischer, What Other People Say

Previously: But Kelly then did something that I never expected her to do.
She kissed him.
But that wasn't the reason only why I had even acknowledged it. It's because he didn't stop her, he let her.
I looked away once he pushed her away. I watched at Sarah and Levine watched as the drama unfolded in front of their eyes.
"Serine I-"
"You don't need to explain anything," I simply said and walked away.
And that was just every single day.
I ignored him. I'd cross paths with him, not saying a word, not giving him any reaction, nothing. He'd ask me something and I'd stick with one word answers.
Like right now. I was busy sketching something. An alley.
I didn't realize how much time had actually gone by but it was only at the sound of someone else's voice that I snapped out of it. "Serine," I quickly slammed down my sketch book along with my pencil. I didn't respond nor even spare the source of the voice a glance and just stared into space.
"What was that drawing?" He sat down right beside me and I released an aggravated sigh. "None of your business."
"Serine can you ju-"
"Alexander can you just- leave me alone?" I turned around to face him and I found those silver orbs already looking into mine. "Why huh?"
"Because I just want to be alone!" I whisper yelled and closed my notebook. Just as I was about to stand up, a warm pair of hands were wrapped around my hands. My body froze at the contact.
My heart stilled and at the moment, I didn't know what the right thing to do was. I didn't know if I should let him, speak to him, sit down, or walk away. But I did the first thing that came to mind. I removed my hand quickly, as if his touch was burning me and I could see a mixture of emotions in those silver orbs; guilt, sorrow, pity and what seemed like he was hurt.
But it must've been my eyes that were deceiving me because those emotions were gone, within a second. I didn't want to believe he was no human being, with no feelings and emotions but it was hard. "Serine can we just talk?"
"No." I said. "We can't. What don't you understand about that? What do we need to talk about?"
"Is this because of Kelly?" My brows knitted slightly. "The kiss. Is it about the kiss she gave me?" My heart sunk and every body else's voices were just muted. "I don't need to deal with this." I shook my head and got up but he caught my wrist this time. By now, the whole cafeteria was staring at us. As if it wasn't enough that we were just talking at the table and pairs of eyes were already stealing glances.
Now I'm sure it was everybody.
"Alexander you better let go of me," I sternly said. "Serine-"
"I'm warning you." And with that he let go but not before I bumped into a figure. I looked up to see who it was and my mood dropped down even lower, if that was even possible. "Can you watch where you're going?" I closed my eyes. Something I did often to maintain my composure because I really wasn't in the right state of mind or mood to deal with her.
I ignored her and attempted to walk past her but one of her minions stopped me. "Where do you think you're going?"
I sighed and dropped my head back.
"Kelly, please. I am seriously not in the mood." I said attempting to walk back away put this time I was pushed back. The push was hard enough to make me fall, but I didn't. And it wasn't one of her minions this time, It was Kelly herself. My patience was running thin and at any moment I was going to snap. "I suggest you leave me the fuck alone 'cause you are testing my patience."
"What," she smirked. "are you still mad because I kissed pretty boy over here?" My face remained neutral as I lazily blinked at her attempts of trying to provoke me. In attempt to walk again, one last time, this time, her words stopped me in my tracks. "Because pretty boy told me about your dad," I froze.
"But it just goes to show that everybody in your pathetic little life, doesn't want or need you. Everybody ends up leaving because your a worthless piece of shit, that nobody cares for. So what's better to do than just leave and die?" I heard her clasp her hands together with a content sigh. I took a few steps back before turning myself, so that I was now facing her. My honey brown eyes were now glaring into her dark blue eyes.
"Just like my pretty boy," she smirked and looked back at him and our eyes locked and that guilt was there once again. I gave him a look of, 'I told you not to tell anybody'
He remained silent and I knew jumping to conclusions wouldn't solve anything but his silence said it all. I nodded and bitterly swallowed. "Wow," I whispered.
I turned around to walk away but not before feeling the warmth of a palm on my wrists once again.
"Who's the fool now?" Kelly smirked, her blue eyes boring right into mine. "But as you dad says, don't let anybody drag you down. Ain't that right Williams? But too bad, you're nothing, nothing but a disgrace to your own last name," and with just a pat of the shoulder, she was gone. Levine who was now beside me with her one hand on my shoulder, gripping it harshly out of anger was glaring at Amber who had a smirk plastered on her face.
And right as Levine was about to at Amber, I pulled her back. She looked at me, irritated, but engulfed me in a hug after. "Honey don't listen to her, you're stronger than that, okay?" I heard Levine.
"Who's the fool?!" I heard Amber shout once again and I heard a bundle of whispers, snickers from people. Levine broke our hug and faced everybody.
"Listen up idiots, if you don't have anything else better to do, than to laugh at some bimbo bullying someone else then I suggest you shut your mouth. Get a fucking life because I'm sure your parents raised you better, they never raised you to support bullying. And I'm sure they'd be damnit hell ashamed of this. Would you like your child to be treated this way? How many kids have committed suicide because they've been treated this way? You're not children anymore. It's time for you guys to grow up because you're no longer kids, unless you want to be disgraces to your own parents last names. You all make me sick."
And with that, Levine grabbed me by the wrist and we were out.
"Where's Sarah?" I asked in our hug. "Family issues." I nodded, understanding what she meant.
Once we were out of the cafeteria doors, my eyes immediately locked with an unfamiliar pair of chestnut brown eyes.
"Hey," the voice greeted.
