Hey! My name is Maya and I'm 23 years old. I live together with my dad Charlie, my younger brother James, and our dog Cookie together in a nice house. My mom died when I was 16. She tried to fight the cancer for 3 years, but the cancer was stronger than her. Unfortunately.

Well, here I am now. Working in a little coffee shop around the corner. But I love it. My best friend Lia also works there. She's my best friend since I can even imagine. Lia is always there for me and I am so thankful to have her in my life.

When my mom died, my dad started drinking a lot. I had to be there for my brother, 'cause my dad couldn't do anything for him in his condition. But I can understand why he was like this. I mean, he and my mom were together for 35 years. It's not easy to get over the dead of someone you knew and loved for so long. It's just like someone rips out your heart.

Anyways....enough about that.

Let's go on with something more "nice".

Today is mine and Lia's free day, and we are going to a party!!! Wohooo!!! Finally.

*Incoming call: Lia*

-Heyyy!!!
-Hey Babygirl! Are you ready for our party tonight?
-Of course I am! I can't wait.
-Me too. What are you gonna wear?
-Oh ahhhmmm. I haven't decided yet. What about you?
-I think I am just going to wear the little black dress I wore at Amelia's birthday.
-Oh alright! Well then.
-Yes. Oh and Maya!
-Yes?
-Wear something nice. You never know who you meet.

Yes. She's always like that. She wants me to find my "future husband". Yeah sure. As if. I'm 23. It's to early for me to marry someone.

I took a shower and picked out an outfit for tonight.

I made my hair and makeup and waited for Lia. She wanted to pick me up. I've got my drivers license and a car, but she wanted to pick me up. Well, no fuel waste for me.

I jumped into her car and we drove to the club.

We arrived at the club and went inside. The dance floor was fully crowded already and many people were drunk already.

Lia and I went straight to the dance floor and danced like there's no tomorrow.

I went to the bar, ordered some drinks and felt someone's eyes on me. I turned around and looked straight into the most beautiful brown eyes I've ever seen. The man was standing like 2 meters away from me. When I looked at him he smirked. He was the hottest and beautifulest man I've ever seen. I felt the urge to get to know him. But I was to shy.

I smiled at him and went back to the dance floor.

When I got back there, Lia stared at me.

I looked into his direction and looked back to Lia fast.

Before she said anything else, she pulled me on my arm into his direction. I didn't have a chance to pull away because I already stood in front of him.

I looked up slowly and looked into his eyes. He was so tall. I haven't noticed it before.

He looked down at me with that smirk on his face.

We just stood there looking at each other. No one saying a word.

We talked for about an hour before Lia came back and we wanted to leave.
