SOLIDER IN THE BATTLEFIELD
In the battlefield with our friends and enemies,
many with wives and children
waiting at home for there love, parent, or family
to return safely,
Praying, hoping they don't have a knock at the door,
A nation call and young men and women
come to stand and fight against our enemies,
some are breathing and some are breaking,
every sound is a "bang" and a "pow,"
every step you take there a fallen solider lies,
We're not here to die but here to fight,
even if we fall we're all still strong,
I have now fallen in the arms of my friend,
knowing this will be my last sight,
worrying about my family at home,
wanting to say goodbye,
but I know I will soon see them in the sky,
protecting them as there own solider,
but only as an angel waiting to be known
