HOW DOES DERRICK EVEN?!

Tira's POV

We all stared at him and after a while of dead silence he clicked his tongue.

"We learnt it last week." Everyone, including me, ahh'ed.

"Would you like to take it?" Isabella asked with that mama smile of hers. I froze but not in a bad way. Wow she's really getting back into being a mama from the demon world now huh? Just minus the children selling.

"Sure I guess," he mumbled, scratching the back of his head. I blinked a couple of times. You know, besides being rude to the teacher and being an ass to Ray, Derrick is kind of okay. I mean, I guess I can understand him hating the teacher since she is disgusting, but still I think calling her a female dog was a bit much. Maybe this is how the human world works?

We all waited and watched as Derrick took the test with different questions, obviously harder than the ones that Eitan, Sarah, and Johnathan had because they're different ages and all. When he was done I looked over at Ray, Emma, and Don. Don and Emma looked shocked while Ray looked impressed. I would have expected the reactions to be the other way around since Ray was the one who had the bad experiences with Derrick, but I guess after that weird five second turn around they had they're okay with each other.

Somehow.

Derrick and Isabella walked out of the room, Derrick with a light blush on his face and Isabella with a smile.

"Let's sit down and have some coffee before I tell you my answers."

I floated tightly between Phil and Ray since Jessica wouldn't stop looking over at my direction. I was happy that someone was noticing me, but her staring made me feel tense and nervous like I had done something wrong. I think I would've felt like that if someone caught me blasting Emma through the trees during tag...

Krone made some coffee for the parents, minus Talia and Jessica, and Ray, giving everyone else tea or water.

"Who wants to start?" Ray asked, somehow, for some reason, taking control of the conversation.

"Ah..." Emma let out that sigh of 'here we go again...' energy.

"I would like Eitan's results first then if everyone else doesn't mind," Talia said, raising her hand. Everyone nodded and Isabella clasped her hands and put them on the table. I fiddled with Emma's magical cowlick and watched.

"Eitan did very well on all the subjects, especially history. Is he interested in it?"

"Yes! He loves reading about any sort of battle and about rulers. His last birthday gift was a history textbook."

"We'll do Johnathan's next. He's amazing at languages! Do you teach him Rose?" I blinked a couple of times. This was so different from the tests that we took back at the demon world! I thought we were gonna test IQ? I guess it doesn't matter that much here? I guess? I think? Ugh, I don't know anymore! Why does the human world have to be so complicated?

"Actually, Derrick was the one who taught him!" Rose said happily, clapping her hands together as Derrick groaned and slammed his head onto the table.

"What?!" Emma shouted shocked, standing up and staring at him. I stared at him like he was some sorta monster that just crawled out of a toilet. Was I the one who said I shouldn't have judged him? Yes. Did I still judge him? Yes. Am I still? I guess yeah. It's not intentional, I swear! It just... happens.

Anyways, we were all staring at Derrick in shock minus Rose and Johnathan until Isabella cleared her throat.

"Ahem, let's talk about Sarah's next."

A/N: Just shook. Everything. Derrick? Extra shook. I can't even and Tira can't even! Derrick is like a spy, hiding his true skills and they're above the lvl cap even! Anyways, they're all going to excel in one subject or another and who knows? Maybe they're going to help Norman's company?
