( Narrator's POV )

As the sun came up over the campsite, Blue began filling up a bucket of fish. As he was doing this, Volcano, Torch, and Silver started stretching. The events of yesterday were.... challenging. So the 4 made sure to place tripwires and pitfall traps around in case another monster came around without their knowledge.

"So, back to Hakum ", Silver said. "That seems to be the plan, unless you can send a warning to Dan in a way that doesn't involve flight. ", said Torch. The two didn't have much of a choice seeing as how they needed to head back for supplies, and so that their monsters could rest.

"Hey Torch? "

"What? "

"Last rider their is a Yain - kut - ku! "

"Wha- oh you mother fucker! Your on! "

( Silver's POV )

If there is one thing me and Torch have in common, it's that speed is important. Blue might not be the king of the skies, but he sure as hell can fly!! We were neck and neck with each other, both of us heading in the same direction.

"And it looks like the winner is- " I said.
I would have finished talking but Blue stopped at the last second. I looked down to ask him to keep flying, but his eyes were slits, his tail spikes were standing on end, and he was growling.

This meant one of two things. Either he was hunting or-

"Torch stop flying. ", I said turning to him.

"Why? ", he said stopping.

Something was wrong. And I was really hoping it wasn't like the Royal incident. I looked ahead of us and saw what he was growling at.

.

.

.

"Hey Torch? "

"Yeah? "

"How fast can Volcano fly? "

"............ I get the feeling I don't want to turn around right now. "
As soon as he did, he saw what we were worried about. A very big tornado heading straight for us. At that moment only 4 words popped into my head.

.

.

.

"FLY!! FLY LIKE HELL!!!!!

(Narrator's POV)

Torch and Silver rode their monsters with speed, the tornado growing ever closer. "Where on earth did this thing come from?! ", said Torch. "How should I know?! I'm not an elder dragon! ", he shouted. Silver looked back at the tornado to see it getting closer by the second. That's when he got an idea. He looked back at the approaching threat to see how far it was from them. Then he shouted, "Torch! I got an idea, but it's gonna be risky! ", he yelled.

" Okay," Said Torch, "What's the plan? "
"Fly as high as you can, and then turn! ", shouted Silver. Seeing as how he didn't have a choice, Torch could do nothing but comply.

On command both Volcano and Blue sped up, and turned as quickly as they could. All their rider's could do was close their eyes and hope for the best. And they opened again........ they were safe. The Tornado had gone past them and they were out of danger.

.

.

.
Or so they thought.

(Silver's POV)

I turned to look at the fading threat, as we had our monsties rest on the ground below. All of us had only one thing on our minds at that moment, rest. We all just about to lay down when Volcano started to growl and Blue's spines started to rattle. "What's wrong? ", said Torch. "We're already out of harms way. "

That's when I turned around and saw what was setting them off.

"Uh, Torch? "

"What? ", he said. That's when he turned around to see the tornado turn around, but get smaller. "When's the last time you've seen a tornado turn around? ", I said. "Um, never? ", he said more nervous now. That's when I looked inside the swirling mass, and saw a figure flying inside.

It couldn't have been an Elder Dragon, otherwise, it would be moving a lot faster than it already was. One things for sure, it wasn't a normal Tornado.

Within moments we were back in air, avoiding the spiral, only for it to get even smaller than it once was. That's when I noticed a faint, silver glow from within.

"What in the world?", I thought, staring at the light. Big mistake. The moment I let my guard down, it charged at us, forcing us to dodge.

Whatever this thing is, it really isn't in the mood to make friends.

(Narrator's POV)

As the swirling mass rushed them, the bindings that kept kept Blue's saddle on began to loosen.

"I've got an idea!", yelled Torch.

"Volcano, breath attack, now!", he shouted. A ball of flame filled the Monsties mouth, as it released a blast of flames. Two things happened at that instant. The first was the tornado dispersing to reveal a monster with glistening yellow scales, and a razor sharp gaze. The second, was the beast charging, and locking talons with Volcano.

As soon as the monsters were locked together, Torch immediately recognized the beast as a Seregios. That wasn't the part that concerned him. What concerned him, was the fact that there was a rider on its back.

He was covered head to toe in armour forged out of the beast scales. As the two riders stared each other down, the Seregios rider looked Torch in the eyes, and said, "Being them down Cone!"

Without warning, the Monstie now known as Cone, shot a single scale into Volcano's wing, knocking him off balance.

"Torch, 'Cano!", Silver yelled, speeding towards them. That's when Blue's saddle came loose.

"Oh shrapnel!", Silver yelled as he fell from the sky. As Blue raced down to rescue his rider, the mystery rider shouted out a new command.

"Cone! Ditch the Rathalos, the riders' the one were after!", he shouted, taking out a flash pod. He threw the object bright light filling the air.

Having his wing previously injured, Volcano began to fall, as the Seregios snatched away Torch, flying off into the distance. As Volcano.... Tried, to land, Silver and Blue landed on the ground below, watching as their friend was taken away.

"Torch!", Silver shouted. As he did so, Volcano ran over to him, nuzzling his arm.

"Don't worry, we'll find him."
