Chapter six - The coming down

POV sugawara:

I look at my watch, 6:21pm, I hope that he's okay, I'm glad tsukishimas shift finished before everything happened because I wouldn't have been able to take him home.

I'm happy that his sister was able to come and look after him, what ever happened with iwaizumi must of been bad for him to react like that. In the three years I've known him he's always been the semi stable one in our friend group.

Yeah I know shocker right.

So seeing him like that was hard, I just felt hopeless that I wasn't able to do more. But I'll be damned if I don't go and comfort him when he's hurting.

I wonder if they knew each other before he moved here. That would explain why he had a panic attack, I only know a bit of his and his sisters past, but I know that it wasn't the best childhood ever for the both of them.

I walk up to Toorus apartment door and give it a knock.

"Hey sugawara, good timing I was just about to leave to go pick up Takeru", cho says to me while opening the door, "hello how's he doing", She welcomes me into his apartment, I take off my coat and shoes, "yeahh, it's just... a lot to unpack, it's better if Tooru tells you".

She pats me on the back and walks out the door, "make sure he eats, and he gets some sleep at least", and then she walks out the door, well let's go find him then.

I walk though his small plant infested living area, he really has a problem with buying plants, his living area is going to become a jungle at this rate.

"Oikawa, where are you babes, I brought you some homemade milk bread... and red wine", I say getting them out and putting them on the his kitchen island that is parallel to his comfy blue velvet arm chairs.

I hear shuffling coming from his bedroom and a door opening and closing, I turn to look down the corridor and see a figure coming towards me covered in a white duvet, and dressed in a white long plain t-shirt and UFO pj bottoms.

"Heyyyy, how you feeling?", I say holding my hands out giving him an open invitation for a hug, in which he gladly accepts.

He heavily sighs into my chest and gives out a big huff which makes me laugh a little, "I feel like someone's just landed an anvil on my head repeatedly", he says while retracting from my embrace.

I smile and nod to him, "well I'll put this on the side then and we can just sit, talk and eat milk bread all evening", I say while taking the bottle of wine and placing it near his rice cooker in the corner.

He sniffles and gives me a slight giggle, "yeah I'd like that", he says while moving to sit on one of his chairs in the living area, I hear him put the TV on and flick though channels before he settles on what sounds like the SYFY channel.

I roll my eyes at him and his obsession with aliens and outer space, "hey kawa, want some tea?", I ask while putting the kettle on, "yes please, can I have ho-".

"Honey and lemon tea coming right up", I hear a faint thank you come from him which makes me smile. I get three mix match mugs out of the cupboard one mug that says 'may the force be with you' and the other two just have pictures of anime characters on them.

I'll give atsumu the one with jojo on it, actually where is he, he said he'll be hear the same time as me. As if on cue I hear a knock at the door, "suga who's that?", Oikawa shouts from the living area.

I go to open the door and I'm presented with atsumu in his onigiri themed pjs that his brother and nephew brought him for Christmas last year. I laugh a little at his appearance which causes atsumu to pout at me, "don't they were the only ones I had that were clean".

"Well maybe if you did you laundry, then maybe you'll have clean pjs", I said while moving out the way so that atsumu can walk inside, he takes off his long puffed coat and sports trainers.

"Yea yea whatever, where is he then?", I point behind me to the living room, he nods and makes his way over.

I shut the door trying not to let in any more cold than there already is in the apartment, god I hate November weather. I hear the kettle boil so I make my way over to his kitchen once more.

POV switch to oikawa

"Well hello there", I turn to my side to see atsumu standing there in his oingiri pj's, I smile at him and he walks past me and plops himself down on the chair next to me.

"I would give you a hug but you smell like shit", I laugh at atsumu and stick my tongue out at him, he laughs along with me to, "joking... kinda, but on a real note how are you holding up?".

I look at him and see a concerned look on his face, I give him a smile smile, "in all honesty, I want to curl into a ball and hide away for ever", I say truthfully.

Atsumu leans back on his chair and heavily sighs, "want company?", he says while dragging his hands down his face, "yeah sure, only if we cuddle", I say while smirking at him.

"Little spoon?", he says which makes me giggle, I can always count on atsumu to cheer me up by saying the dumbest shit.

"Hear we go lemon and honey for you, and black coffee for you, in which I don't know how you drink at this time in the evening", suga says while handing me my tea and atsumu his coffee.

"Hey! It calms me", he says while taking a big sip and slouching down in the chair even more, "atsumu sweetheart coffee does the exact opposite to that", suga says making both of us laugh at him.

"Okay we're not here to judge my unhealthy habits, we're here to comfort kawa", I give them both a timid smile, I know there dying to know how I know iwaizumi, I guess they deserve an explanation of some sort.

"You don't have to tell us anything if your not comfortable oikawa, but we just want to know if we have to be wary of iwaizumi", I shake my head at suga while putting my tea on the table.

"No don't, me and iwaizumi yes we have history together, and no it's not the best history in the world, but you shouldn't not like him because of me", atsumu looks at me gone out and suga gives me a confused glance.

"Oikawa, what happened between you two?", I look over at my two best friends, I been wanting to tell them my background and what happened to me before I moved here and met them, and I guess this is a great way to ease into it.

"Get comfy, it's a long story".

Okay so just stay with me here because there will be more sakuatsu and iwaoi moments + Daisuga and tsukiyama coming up.

But I just want to give a background on oikawa and his sister childhood and what happened with iwaoi. So just bare with me ☺️
