I was happy; it was the end of the day! I only have one block before I have to leave. I go to my last class, English, and sit in the back, we had a four-desk-table so I waited for someone to sit with me. Once someone came I said hi to her- no, them. Never assume gender, even if their voice sounds feminine.
I was starring at the desk, messing with my hands under the table. I was anxious, it was the first day of school, okay?!
I looked up to see who it was. I'm surprised I didn't start drooling on the spot. She was VERY pretty. She had dark hair that was about medium length. Her skin was a bit darker then mine but not by too much. Her eyes were a chocolate brown, possibly dark chocolate. I couldn't see any other features because her mask was covering it. Stupid COVID. (This is true, you are gorgeous bestie!)
I blush, and look down. Soon, another girl came in and sat by me. She wasn't as pretty but she was a bit attractive.
The first one looks over to me, I lift my head but immediately drop it when we make eye contact, God, I must look like a freaking weirdo I think. I hear her voice ask for my name. In the smallest voice I say "I-I'm Val-lerie... Yo-ou?" Damn my stuttering. I hear her voice say "Sandra, what about you?" She was directing the last part to the other girl. I have enough to courage to cross my arms on the table and rest my head on it and watch them.
"Maribel." The second girl said. So that's her name.
The door closes and locks before the teacher comes back in. He gives a small introduction about himself and we get on with a very short lesson, something about why it's important to ask questions. Then he gives us time to explore the room. I saw he had a sorting hat in the corner of the classroom. And he has a Ravenclaw scarf on his door. Harry Potter fan... interesting. I go back to my seat and start doodling before the rest of my classmates sit back down.
Once everyone was done, we took a Kahoot about him. After that was finished, there was only 5 minutes of class left. He had us answer the question, "What did you learn today?" I raised my hand and after two others, he got to me. "I learned you are a Ravenclaw, I'm a Slytherin."
After a couple of more people answered we left school.
