A love a little too late

Chapter 2

"If you love someone set them free,if they come back they're yours;if they don't, they never were."

Melissa's P.O.V

I love him of course I do he's my mate after all, but does he love me? I just don't understand...I felt the sparks and everything. I'm...I'm hurt.

Jacks P.O.V

I ran to the woods far enough so the humans wouldn't see me, then I shifted and ran deep into the forest. I had to get to my uncle Thomas's house, he was the only one who would understand he was just like me in high school, scrawny, nerdy, and got bullied on a daily basis. 

When I arrived to his house I called out to him " uncle Thomas! Are you home?!" 

I heard him answer from the kitchen" yeah in here!". I looked at him work as he fixed a stuffed sink. " aren't you supposed to be in school right now?" 

"Um...actually I met my mate." I told him quietly, if it weren't for his werewolf ears he would of not heard me. 

"Wha..." He quickly jumped out of the sink cabinet but banged his head in the process. "Owww...that's great! When do I get to meet her? Why aren't you happier? last time you kept whining about how you can't find your mate blah blah blah." 

"We'll she's kinda the most popular girl in school so I'm..." He quickly cut me off 

"The MOST popular girl in school! Nice!" My uncle Thomas nodded his head in approval  

"No! It's not good, I'm the most geeky kid in school, she would have to lose her reputation, social status, and all of her friends!" 

"Hmmm..." My uncle said "I know how to fix that" he responded with a wicked smile. Uh oh. That smiles all means a vicious plan. 

~2 days later

Melissa's P.O.V

Where is he!! He hasn't been to school in 2 days, maybe something happened, he could be hurt or maybe he... He... I don't know. All I know is he isn't here and I have to see him! 

I probably scared the crap out of him when I gave him my full on google-eyes! I finally found the courage to go ask my best friend Eli, short for Elizelda, when I heard the biggest douche in the school snarl at his friend"where the hell is Jack?! I feel like giving him a whooping, just the thought of his face pisses me off."  

His little follower Michael answered "I heard he skipped town" my heart stopped oh my god, did Jack really just leave? He just left his mate...me. "Maybe he realized no one wants him here. Hahahaha it took a while for him to get the message."  

Pain shook all over my body barely letting me breath, I felt betrayal. So much betrayal filled my body. I clenched my hand and ran for the bathroom, I checked every stall to make sure no one was there. When the coast was clear I slid down on the wall of a stall, pushed my knees to my face and cried I cried until I felt num from all of my feelings. I slowly got up and calmly left school. I at least deserved to walk out with my pride, an explanation wouldn't of hurt. He was just as bad as my sister, leaving without giving a single reason or leaving a note.  

I don't know how'll I'll do it or if its even possible, but somehow I'll learn to live without him. I will forget about him, like he never existed.
