We are so small and tiny. Like, have you ever stopped to think about how insignificant we seem in comparison with our world?
Our world is literally a floating rock in the middle of nowhere and still we think we know its "origin".... How pathetic for some of you....
I mean... Whats up with philosophers? They think they're sooo cool just because they come up with silly stories and theories about the world...
Oh! By the way, my name is Sage, Sage of Moonflower, and I am a fairy.
By now you must think im a weird type of fairy princess living in a flower castle with frogs or bees as pets and blablabla. Well, you're wrong.
I live inside an empty log with my two moms, Tansy (a frog) and Sorrel (a beaver). My moms adopted me 12 years ago. They found me laying barely dead on a water lily. My right wing was broken, and my left one was soaking wet, so lets say I never got the chance of learning how to fly...
Well, I never happened to need the ability of flying! Sorrel always had the best inventions to help me deal with anything I needed to!
I never asked my moms how they met each other. I somehow felt as if asking that would make me look... Ashamed? Well, I didn't think that, Rue did.
Rue were my best friend, they were a snail. They were late for everything, but I never understood why... It was probably because they always took that huge round backpack with them... Rue and I talked about everything, but mostly about philosophy. They were like my teacher, since I never got to go to school due to our lack of money. My moms had a lot of debts to pay, so we couldn't afford anything but candles as a light or electricity producer and empty boxes of matches as furniture. Well, at least I got to decorate them with flowers or leaves!
I didn't think my life was a shame, embarrassing or sad. I had everything I wanted AND needed. I had a friend, I had a family, I had a home, I had clothes my mom Tansy made..!! I couldn't ask for more!
But... Life was kind of boring. I did nothing. I could do whatever I wanted yet I did nothing.
When Rue weren't around everything was super boring.
Rue worked as a "bus driver", (or that how they called it), in which weird creatures called dwarfs just sat on their backpack, told them a place to go and they would take the dwarfs where they had asked so.
Of course Rue didn't make that much money with the velocity they travelled at, but they seemed to like their job.
Dwarfs were strange creatures. They didn't pay taxes with flowers, but with weird big objects they called buttons?! Dwarfs were weird looking.
They didn't wear flower hats or high socks made out of leaves. They wore clothes made out of something they referred to as fabric...
Rue told me fabric was soft and cozy, just like cotton! And that the dwarfs had given them a small fabric hat!
The dwarfs seemed so fun! Their houses were made out of mushrooms and boots with wooden doors and transparent windows!
My house didn't even have a door!
I wish I were a dwarf.
Every time I accompanied Rue to their job, I sneaked around and investigated their village. It was called Tiny Boots, (probably because they all had tiny fabric boots on and their houses were boots)! Dwarfs had loads of machines:
cleaning machines, clothes maker machines, food machines and they even had bed maker machines! AND THEIR BEDS WERE MADE OUT OF COTTON AND NOT MATCH BOXES!
I so wanted to be a dwarf.
On our way back to the empty log, I told Rue about how much I loved dwarfs and their lifestyle, but as I kept talking I wondered, why aren't there any "fairies" here? I didn't even know where I was! My house was at the middle of a huge unknown forest!
Well of course I didn't obtain an answer for that question, but I was willing to find out.
