Being an early-riser in a family of sloth's is a great thing. It blesses me with the silence I need before all the chatter disrupts my peace.

I take a sip of my espresso and continue reading the newspaper before my uncle comes down and snatches it with the excuse that he thinks I should stop doing all these 50 year old dad things before I start looking like one.I roll my eyes.

When did reading newspapers become a boomer thing? Or maybe it didn't and it's just uncle torrence being uncle torrence.

I tap my shoe under the glass table with the rhythmic beat as I turn the pages.

"If those are the sneaking skills you have, you either had a terrible teacher or were a terrible student yourself." I say without looking up from the business section.

Sana freezes and turns to face the side of my face with an expression between a grimace and sheepish smile.

"Weren't you preoccupied? " She asks, laughing nervously.

I raise my brow, turning to face her." Being preoccupied doesn't mean I have to lose the sense of the world around me, Sana."

She pouts at that. My baby cousin, who is more like a sister than a cousin, is exactly the kind of person who forgets the world around her when she is occupied. She is a Klutz.

"Where were you going?" I question her. It's not common for Sana to wake up this early and go out.

"Umm" she hesitates,"Nowhere." She turns to leave and says "Goodbye.See you later, dumbass." Over her shoulder.

I narrow my eyes at her. "Well, I was hoping to take you to the ammy's with me....."Sana freezes, I hide my smirk."If you are busy,I guess it's fine.I will just take someone els-"

"No way!" She screams at me like i am about to commit an unforgivable sin. I look at her innocently.

"You were planning on taking someone with you to the ammy's with you? You should have told me beforehand." She says, holding her head.

"Oh god, how am I going to get everything done?" She starts walking back and forth rambling.

Just like that, she forgot where she was supposed to head.

I know why she is so excited. She will get a chance to meet her favourite actor, Serena Warren.

I roll my eyes. I do that alot when she is mentioned. It happens when you hear so much praise about a person and my family wouldn't just shut up about her.

God knows I have enough of that.

I finish my espresso and fold back the newspaper, realising I am about to read the entertainment section. I really don't want to start my day with Serena this , Serena that. I get it. She's amazing. Fine.

Not everyone worships the ground she walks on. I take my files and get up to leave before my cousin starts her fan-girling.

"This is my birthday present to you. So don't bother me about your birthday present again." I yell over my shoulder.

"Jerk!" She yells back, " It's fine. Best gift ever." She smiles happily and I can hear her going upstairs, to her room probably. But not before she stumbles into the glass table.

"Shit, shit" She mutters. I shake my head. Everyday the chances of her not getting into an accident are becoming slimmer.

As i am leaving the mansion I am faced with Arina.I close my eyes. It really is not my lucky day .
