OVERPROTECTIVE (Nanami Kento x F! Reader) (One-Shot)

Your husband- Nanami Kento had been away overseas on a two-months business trip, and he should be back anytime now, while your oldest girl- Akiko is still at school, your young toddler twin son and daughter- Kenji and Chikako, and your 6-months old baby boy- Kiyoshi are at home, waiting excitedly for their father to arrive home. A while later, your handsome Kento has made it home safe and sound, bearing souvenirs and gifts for his beloved family, Kenji and Chikako ran across the living room to the entrance hall happily while greeting him excitedly, much to your husband's pleasure.

"DADDY! DADDY'S HOME!"

Kento kneels down with a laugh as the twins run into his wide-open welcoming arms, and he wraps them in his strong arms in a tight bear hug, and he kisses them lovingly on the cheeks, "Oh, my babies! Daddy has missed you so much!"

"We missed you so much too, daddy!"

You stand as you watched with a warm fuzzy heart, at how your twins are so happy with their father back, Kento looks up and grins at you too, then he decided to give Kenji and Chikako their surprise.

"Kids, come and look what daddy got you," Kento says.

And the two toddlers very excitedly follow their father to his luggage; there are two pet-carriers there, and he opened them much to the kids' excitement, there is a kitten in one, and a puppy in the other, and they immediately squeal and hug Kento tight, "THANK YOU VERY MUCH, DADDY! WE LOVE YOU!"

You raise an eyebrow, you are shocked too; you don't remember Kento telling you about getting pets for the children, after getting the twins to promise that they will take care of the new pets well, he let them run off with the kitten and the puppy, you stand there looking at your husband with a raised eyebrow, he smiles sheepishly at you as he stands up and walks up to you, you sigh as he wraps his muscle arms around you comfortingly, and you kiss each other lovingly.

"Oh darling, I've missed you so much," Kento says as he looks at you lovingly.

"I've missed you too, baby," you say as you also look up at him.

But then you push back and look at him questioningly, "A puppy and a kitten?"

Kento hold up his arms in surrender and smile sheepishly, "Okay, babe, I know I should've told you, but they both came from the shelter, and they are just too cute, and you know how our kids have been begging us to be allowed pets..."

You look at him with a knowing smile, "You are turning into a fool for the kids, you know."

Kento chuckled, "Well, they are my babies."

You continue to stare at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Fine, fine, I'm not going to spoil them," Kento sigh with a chuckle. "I promise. And, anyway, I'm hoping the kitten and puppy will be able to teach the kids some responsibility."

"Come on, I'm sure Kiyoshi will love to see his daddy," you say with a smile, leading him into the living room.

There in the baby pan is the happy, excited baby, Nanami very happily leaned down to pick up his youngest and kissed his baby boy's pudgy cheeks, who squeaks and laughs in return.

"Oh, I am so happy to be back," Nanami announces with a relieved smile. "I have missed my family so much!"

Nanami spends the following hours unpacking and settling back down, and when it reaches the end-of-school hours, he has offered to go pick up Akiko from school, but you tell him to stay home and look after the kids.

"Kento, honey, it's fine, I'll go pick Akiko up," you tell your husband with a smile. "You just got back today, why don't you stay home and play with the kids. I'll be back soon."
