Percy screamed and cried as his mother was beaten to death, nothing he could do to save her worked. Gabe laughed evilly as Sally screamed for him to stop, to leave Percy alone and that she hated him. Percy heard the last one and knew that, of she hated him, Gabe was an evil person, one to hide away from. The sobbing 4 year old watched as his mother's eyes dulled, the life that inspired him leaving as Gabe walked towards him, a beer bottle in hand.
...
Harry Potter winced as Vernon hit him with the belt once more.
"You will be getting a room mate today. My cousin, Sally Jackson," He spit the name with so much venom Harry winced. Having heard the same tone when Vernon referenced him(Harry), "Died, and we are taking in her freak of a son, we were only just now informed of this since they finally caught him and his kidnapper, 4 years, wish the kid died too. Damn bastard child." Vernon grumbled throwing Harry into his cupboard. "He's the same age as you."

I sighed as I followed the police officer to my new home. It probably wouldn't be better then with Gabe, but I had some hope that they would at least feed me more then once a week. I was sitting in the back of the car drawing in the small pocket notebook used for writing down thoughts or ideas. I was using it to draw.
"Okay, Perseus, we're here. Come on." The officer smiled at me from the rear view mirror. I nodded at her and got out, following her up the drive and towards the door. I knew that the people, family or whatever, knew I was hear. I had seen the curtain move more then that of a fan or a drafty window could have done.
The officer knocked on the door and patiently waited as I looked around. The yard was kept nicely, the flowers had no weeds, and it seemed as if someone's been keeping the over-all yard work well for years. I wonder who, they did an amazing job.
"Hello, Mrs. Dursley, I'm Officer Rivers, this is Perseus Jackson, the boy you and your family are taking in." The introduction broke me from my thoughts as I looked up at the women, who was kinda tall and very thin, who was staring at me. I offered a smile, but hidden in her eyes was the emotion that was like Gabe's. Like I was a filthy rat sitting and asking for food.
"Of course! We're happy to take him in, no need for family to be with others, right?" Mrs. Dursley smiled a clearly fake smile as she 'welcomed' me into the house.
"Of course, I'll be off now. Stay out of trouble Perseus." Officer Rivers bid goodbye as Mrs. Dursley gripped my shoulder painfully tight. I kept a straight face as the pain spread form the stab wound still healing there. It was wrapped up perfectly so that it wouldn't bleed through, but still enough that it wasn't painful... Until Mrs. Dursley grabbed it.
"Okay brat. You'll be staying with Harry, understood?" Mrs. Dursley glared at me.
"Yes ma'am." I responded, looking down at the floor. She huffed slightly and pushed me into a broom closet where I tripped over someone sitting near by.
"At least he's more mannered." I vaguely heard as someone hissed from beside me.
"I'm sorry." I murmured as I turned to look at the person I tripped over. He was small, like me, underweight and had emerald green eyes and black hair. A scar rested on above his right eye.
"It's okay. Not the worse I've received." The boy responded quietly. "Do you know the rules, yet?" Harry asked, I looked at him slightly confused and shook my head. "No talking louder then a murmur or whisper, no food unless given, no water unless given, complete the chores given to you by sundown, no noise once locked in the cupboard. And most importantly, don't talk back." the boy told me quietly.
"Oh... okay. I'm Perseus, but please, call me Percy." I introduced myself in a quiet whisper. He smiled at me and reached to shake my hand, I winced when I tried to move my right arm and he noticed, switching to his other arm. I smiled at him and reached with my left arm to shake his hand.
"I'm Harry, Harry Potter." He responded. I smiled at him as stomping came down the stairs. I gulped as I pushed myself into a corner, listening for the jingle of the keys. They were never heard and I forced myself to remember that I wasn't with Gabe anymore. I was with Harry, and the Dursley's.
"Petunia, is the filthy brat here yet?" A man's voice sounded through out the house. I winced as it was louder the closer he walked to the cupboard.
"Yes dear, he's in the cupboard with Harry. He'll receive his chores tomorrow." Mrs. Dursley, or Petunia as she had been called, responded sweetly.
"Good. He'll learn the rules tomorrow then." Mr. Dursley responded, "Damn girl getting herself knocked up." He muttered afterward. I only heard it because he had been in front of the cupboard when he said it.
I looked at Harry in fear and he shrugged as he leaned back against the wall, wincing whenever he had to shift more then a couple inches.
"What happens when you break a rule?" I whispered and he looked over to me.
"You get beat." Harry responded just as quiet. I nodded and relaxed into the wall. At least it wasn't a cage again. I leaned into it and closed my eyes, I hadn't gotten much sleep last night.
"We can't sleep yet. Just a couple more hours, okay?" Harry whispered hurriedly. I forced my eyes open and nodded slightly. I looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary of a dark, dusty, old cupboard and I huffed lightly. I wanted something to do. I needed something to do.
This might just worse then Gabe. At least with Gabe I knew what to expect and how to occupy myself... Maybe not the healthiest of ways, but it was occupying.
