Inuyasha & Mayame take on the Past! (Sequel)

Third Person's Pov:

Back at the camp everyone had gathered round the camp fire excluding Miroku and Sango who were currently carrying Kagome back.

Inuyasha was covering his face with his bangs because he had been crying and didn't want anyone to notice the tear stains on his cheeks.

"Are you uh sure your ok?" Inuyasha asked Mayame.

Mayame nodded and then reached up to touch his fluffy ears, Inuyasha was shocked but didn't stop her. She smiled and soon fell asleep beside Inuyasha.

Who by the way was slightly grinning.

Third Person's Pov:

Miroku was dragging Kagome along with Sango trying to get back to the camp that was a few miles away. They had already been trying to get back for half an hour.

"W-where's Inu *Cough* Yasha?!?!" Kagome pleaded like her life depended on seeing him.

"He went looking for Mayame..."
Miroku said calmly.

"Don't worry we're almost to the camp Kagome. You'll see him soon. I promise!" Sango said.

Not believing fully she could make the promise become reality.

Inuyasha's Pov.

I sat their next to Mayame as she was sleeping and Shippo was sleeping, curled up beside her peacefully when I smelt blood-

Not anyone's blood... Kagome's blood. I stood up and ran in the direction it came from.

I kept running, faster then I ever thought possible.

"KAGOME!" I yelled coming to a stop seeing her being carried by Miroku and Sango, seeing her blood soaked clothes.. I couldn't believe my eyes.

It couldn't be happening!!

"I-is she ok?!" I almost screamed when I saw her try to smile I smiled and picked her up, bridal style then ran back to the camp leaving a tired Miroku and sore Sango to catch up slowly.

I don't know what came over me.. But it's something that... I haven't felt in a while..
