Something wasn't right.
Harry could feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand up as sweat dripped down his forehead. He had been running. Running through this twisted forest to try and save the people he loved. But he couldn't.
All of a sudden a great wave of dizziness hit Harry like a truck and he sank to the floor, head pounding.

A deep and menacing voice pierced the air, "Harry...." it spoke, "Harry, you cannot save your friends now.....it is all to late for the boy who lived' friends...." The voice blurred away into the distance and bodies appeared from nowhere, surrounding Harry in a great circle.

He gasped in horror, shaking. The mangled bodies around him were his friends and the ones he loved. Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Mrs Weasley were only a few of these. More voices surrounded him, but this time they were the voices of the ruined bodies.
"This is your fault..." they spoke, "All Harry Potters fault..."

The voices of the ones he held dear to him started to get louder in a bumble of confusion. He could hear Ginny telling him that he was worthless, that no one could ever love him, Ron telling him that it was his fault that Fred was dead and Mr Weasley saying how much he despised Mr Harry Potter.

Harry could hear the pounding of his heart in his ears and all he wanted was to curl up in a ball and ignore everything going on around him. But instead he ran. Ran far away from all the confusion, yet still the voices chased and haunted him.

Harry seemed oblivious to the fact that the trees seemed to be getting lighter around him as he ran. Oblivious to the sky and ground getting lighter and lighter until they turned pure white. It was only when the voices stopped that he realised everything around him was pure white.

"Harry?" A quiet voice emerged from the trees. Harry looked up only to see all the people who he'd lost, his mother at the front.
"Harry sweetheart," Lily Potter trailed off as she brought her hand up to her sons cheek. "It's all right now Harry. You've been so brave."

Amongst the crowd of the people Harry had lost, he could see his father beside Sirius and Remus - who was holding hands with Tonks so tightly it looked like he would never let go, Moody, Dobby with Hedwig balanced on his arm, Snape standing sullenly besides Dumbledore and Fred, grinning slightly.

Dumbledore stepped forward as he spoke. "Harry, it's time to awaken now, to step out of this dream."
Harry said nothing, he didn't want to leave all these people behind.

The remaining Marauders took a pace towards Harry. James reached out and placed a hand on his sons sholder.

"We know you don't want to leave Harry, but you can't stay here."

Harry nodded after a while, knowing that his father was right.
"I...Im so sorry. I'm so sorry that I failed you all."

"Harry Potter has nothing to be sorry for." Dobby said in a cheerful tone. "Dobby is happy here." Harry smiled slightly at Dobby as he stroked Hedwig.

"Hey, Harry mate," Fred's voice echoed into the distance. Harry turned around slowly. "I'm so sorry Fred....its not the same without you at the burrow."

Fred shook his head a little. "It wasn't your fault Harry, I chose to stay and fight. Now you need to choose to live and fight another day, not stay here with us. And Harry? Tell George.....tell George that I miss him more than anything, but that he's not allowed to miss me for more than five minutes a day. Will you do that?"

"I promise, I will." As soon as Harry said these words, his vision seemed to blur and grow darker.

The last thing he heard was his mothers soothing voice, "Stay strong sweetheart..."

Harry awoke with a jolt, breathing heavily. He looked around to find that he was in his bedroom at Grimmauld Place. Harry lay back down, thinking about the dream he'd just had. The way that his mother had touched his cheek, the feeling of guilt that he got when he looked at all the people, the promise to Fred.

And as Harry drifted back off to sleep, he swore he could still feel his mothers hand on his cheek, watching over him always.
