Cassiopeia's POV
Dear Diary,
It's been a couple of days since the Quidditch World Cup it was all going great until Lucius made us leave. We couldn't even celebrate afterward like we had planned instead things took a darker turn.
According to Cedric, some Death Eaters were attacking Muggles which then caused a riot to occur. They were torturing Muggles left and right, levitating them like they were nothing more than feathers. It was a terrible sight, tents were lit on fire, and people were screaming everywhere.
Then to make matters worse some had cast the Dark Mark into the sky, thankfully it had caused all the Death Eaters to leave. However, they did some serious damage to those Muggles they all had to have their memory erased.
I have no doubt in my mind that Lucius probably had something to do with those Death Eaters. I don't think he planned it just simply because he does not have the brains for it, but there was no way that he wasn't wreaking havoc after the game.
What a coincidence that just a few minutes after the game ended he demanded that we leave back to this house. It's oddly suspicious that after we had left the attack of the Death Eaters happened. I doubt anyone seemed to notice except for maybe Hermione Granger, she is the brightest witch of her age after all. However, Harry and Ron on the other hand are a bit daft when it comes to being aware of things going on around them. I doubt the rest of the Weasleys even noticed we left since they were so happy that the Irish had won.
Tomorrow is September 1st and I couldn't be more excited, I was ready to leave this stupid Manor. Lucius would hardly let us leave the Malfoy Manor this summer, anytime we would want to leave we would have to sneak out. And not being able to use magic since neither Draco nor I were of age yet sucked.
Hogwarts did have its shitty professor like Snape, Snape, and oh did I mention Snape? Fifth-year was a rough year for me and he did not make it any better (not much of a surprise there though). I didn't focus on potions as much as I should have because man did Herbology really kicked my ass. The library was basically my new home with all the time that I spent there studying.
In Snape's eyes, I did not try hard enough in my potion during my O.W.L. and for Snape everything has consequences. Since I didn't try hard enough (even though there is no way that anyone brewed a better potion than I did) I got stuck in regular potions this year.
To be in Snape's N.E.W.T level for potions I had to make on Outstanding, sadly I only made Exceeds Expectations. It was my only Exceeds Expectations I ended up getting Outstanding in all my other classes, but no it wasn't good enough for Snape.
I spent my entire time at Hogwarts up until my fourth year doing everything that I could to impress Snape. It was a waste of my fucking time nothing I do will ever impress that man, with being his first Goddaughter you'd assume that he would cut me some slack. Nope completely wrong it made his expectations for me even higher which is such bullshit.
Now I'm stuck taking regular potions, and the stupidity of some people when it comes to potions is ridiculous. It's not that hard to throw some herbs in a cauldron and then just stir it the right way. Ewww I'm starting to sound like Snape let me calm down just a bit before I become like him.
Enough talk about greasy hair Snape I am actually looking forward to this year at Hogwarts. It's kind of sad really, how next year will be my last year, and then I'll have to move on with my life and find something to do after Hogwarts. The place that has felt like a home since I was eleven in and two years I won't even be going there anymore.
