Naomi's POV
It was my first day of school at Edythe j Hayes middle school and I was super nervous. Also, I have a younger sister and a younger brother. Also, my parents have been getting into fights and my boyfriend just broke up with me.
My younger brother is mark and my younger sister is Martha. It was 7:20 am and I woke up and got ready for school and headed to my bus stop.
I loved going to the bus stop because I got to see my best friend shyanne and talk about what was going on in my life and her life. We always sat on the bus together and hugged each other when we were feeling down or upset.
But, today was different because I felt some else about her, I felt more attracted to her for some reason.
I always smiled about the way she laughed or the way she smiled at me. Right then and there I knew that I loved her and would find out soon enough.
I reach the bus stop and shyanne is right there waiting for me.
"Hey, girl. What's on your mind?", shyanne asked.
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm fine", Naomi said looking at the ground.
"Naomi, you are clearly not okay. You have cuts all over your hands, legs and arms. So, please tell me what's wrong or I will take you to the guidance counselor when we get to school if you don't", shyanne said in a comforting and firm voice, while looking at her bruised up and cut up friend.
"I'm not in the mood to talk about it right now. So, can we just move on please", Naomi said in a pleading voice, while looking into shyanne's eyes.
"I didn't want to do this, but here it goes. I love you Naomi and I care for you deeply. I have liked you for some time now and would you consider being my girlfriend?", shyanne asked, while looking at her friend.
"Um...I don't know what love feels like, shyanne", Naomi said sadly.
"Then, maybe I can teach you what love is, Naomi", shyanne said wrapping her arms around Naomi's shoulders. And then she started leaning forward and placed her lips onto Naomi's lips and kissed her. She kissed her more passionately than ever.
Naomi was shocked at first, but then settled into the kiss and finally felt at peace and felt much better with herself and her newly found love for her friend shyanne.
