Chapter 3: Awkward Situation

"Aaaaah....." Natsu was at loss for words. The little 'accident' got even worse as classmates and peers gathered around to see what was going on

"You gonna back off?" Gray questioned.
Natsu blushed and whacked his hand back. "Uh s-sorry... "
"Hey look everyone! Strawberrys trying to make a pass at the prince!" Natsu could here Gajeel; one of the infamous bullies yell.
He could hear whispers all around him. "Who does he think he is?" "What a loser, Gray would never go out with him yet alone A GUY." "He should just disappear." "What a fa-"

"ITS NOT LIKE THAT!" Natsu yelled, losing a bit of his cool if he even had any to start out with.

Everyone around him looked at him in shock, including Gray. "I just...tripped." He said silently.
Natsu hated being bullied. Mostly because he was so sick of it.

"Calm down ash hole you might burn the school down with your fury." Gray said smugly.
Natsu clicked his tongue and stared in disbelief. Was this guy actually back talking him?

"What did you just call me?" Natsu said rather threateningly. Gray squinted his eyes and smirked.

"You heard me."

'Its official. I HATE this guy.'

"Hey what's going on!?" Lucy called from the back of the crowd. "Natsu is challenging Gray." Loke said trying not to laugh.
Lucy nearly fainted.

"WHAT THE HELL NATSU WHY ARE YOU PICKING A FIGHT WITH A GUY 10 TIMES YOUR STRENGTH! WHAT ARE YOU STUPID!??!" Lucy raged and grabbed Natsu by the arm.

"Hey let go!" He tried to squirm out of her grip but she proved it impossible.

While Natsu was being dragged off by Lucy he saw Gray get up from the floor and glance at him.
Natsu just glared. After all he probably deserved it.

Although Natsu couldn't help but be curious why Grays icy glare felt so alone, fearful, and for some odd reason, warm at the same time.

Natsu felt his insides go fuzzy.
