Akira couldn't get those late bills out of his mind, he needed to help somehow. Maybe get a job,

Akira; meet me at the ice cream shop we always went to on the way home from middle school. Akira signed as he typed the message, sitting at the table. He'd have lei help him find a job, one he could work now and then.

Lei; wow bossy much!? Fine, but you have to treat me Kay princess? He scuffs at the message rolling his eyes, lei was so difficult at times. How many times would he have to tell him not to call him that?! He smiled.

Akira; whatever just hurry your ass here.

"So let me get this straight, my little Kira wants a job?!" Lei questions taking a bite from their ice cream. They were sharing to save money, Akira rolled his eyes. "Yes, you may be rich but I'm not, I need to help my family out." He confesses alarming lei, "Hey is there something going on with ur family?!" He questions, then it hit Akira. He didn't tell lei about what was happening at home, about the abuse and money problems

He didn't know if he wanted to, to be honest, losing lei was something he never wanted to happen. But he knew it'd be wrong to keep it from him, "My mom's boyfriend raked up some debt, she thinks she should pay it cause they're 'practically' fiancé's at this point ." he admits, leaving the rest out.

He looked down shamefully scared that lei would think of him as below him, hell he was. "Akira, why wouldn't you tell me?! If you need money I can give you money." Lei says, Akira quickly looks up. "Lei-" he begins, "If u don't want 'charity' then I'll have you work for the money, maybe you can help out with taking care of my dads dogs. Those fuckers scare the shit out of me." Lei says,

Akira laughs, knowing darn well he was talking about his father's Pomeranians dogs. He had 10 of them, they were their 'guard dogs'

Akira felt relief wash over him as lei seemed to not care much about his family being in debt, he didn't know why he thought lei would be any different

"Hey, let's go buy some candy. The candy store down the street got new products." Lei says smirking. "Only if you buy." Akira answers smiling at lei, lei rolled his eyes getting up leaning by Akira "You know I can't say no to you." He smirks pinching Akira's cheek

Akira arrived home bags of sweets in hand, lei had went a bit crazy buying random things he found interesting. Akira didn't know how much of this he'd even like but lei made him accept it "You got back just in time, dinners ready." His mother says smiling as she peeks from the kitchen. Walking over to her son kissing him on the lips

"He's not here?" He questions worriedly looking around frantically. She smiles "He won't be home till later tonight, don't worry and come eat with your Siblings." She answers

Akira sits down next to the twins after cleaning up upstairs and putting his things away, Cecilia nowhere in sight which meant she was working late. Their mother sat down dishing up dinner For the three before herself. "Did you not go to school today?" She questions noticing Akira not having on his uniform

Which was neatly hanged upstairs in his room, considering it was highly expensive.

Soon the door slammed open, interrupting the twins fit of giggles. Akira quickly turned his head and their mother stopped in her tracks. "What the fuck is going on here?!" The man spits out making Akira jump, wanting to go in hiding. But his younger sibling were the first priority.

He had to protect them, he quickly stood up grabbing the twins as the man rushed over by the table lifting it up and pushing it onto the floor, the food crashing down onto the floor. Making the twins jump.

"Who the fuck told you that you could eat my food! Sit at my table! And act like your worth something!?" The man screams at their mother, she sobs out. "Sweetheart calm down, I just thought it'd be o-" she stops as his hand comes across her cheek. Making Akira flinch.

As if he felt the pain himself. Her hand slowly goes to her cheek. "Please not in front of the children." She begs making the man even more enraged. He grabs her by the hair throwing her to the ground. Pulling her hair making her look up at him, "This is where you belong bitch, on the dirty floor!" He screams, Akira quickly motions the twins to go up stairs. They quickly run up stairs to hide, Akira stops in his tracks looking at the knife on the counter. Should he bring it just in case?

He quickly runs to the knife grabbing it and running after the twins up the stairs, suddenly being pulled back by his hair. Making him fall down the hard wood stairs, "Where the fuck do you think your going boy!" He exclaims, kicking the boy in the stomach multiple times. Then he steps over his limp body going after the twins who are still watching from above the stairs

Akira did something he'd never thought he'd do. He grips the knife tightly slamming it into the mans shoulder making him scream out in pain. "Go upstairs and lock the door!" He screams, the twins listen running up.

"I'll kill you!" He screams slamming Akira to the floor, his fist meeting his face more times than Akira could count his mother came crawling into the door way. "Sweetheart! Please not his face!" She cries out.

"You want me to be the bad guy?! Fine I'll be the bad guy." The man spits out unbuckling his belt.

A/n; sorry for such a long chapter, I'm editing and adding things in so some chapters will be really long. :)
