5. Racing hearts

It's been a week, a bloody week of Jimin and Jungkook ignoring eachother even though they are roommates. Both have classes starting early morning till 4 in the evening. Even in the cafeteria they sit on different sets of table avoiding eachother as much as possible.

But can you blame them? because the first time they talked to eachother were in taunts and curses.

But now Jimin is sitting outsie their door in the dark corridor contemplating his life decisions as his roommate has not returned yet and his spare keys are sitting forgotten on the study table from the morning.

Even his phone was dead or he would have called Taehyung or Jin.

He sighed for the 10th time in 5 minutes for the first time in his life, waiting for Jungkook to return as he himself is not a very big fan of dark places. Specially because there is this eerie silence around him.

He was mentally preparing for the taunts the younger will use for making fun of him for getting in this situation. And He was scared of the dark.

A lot and specially the fact that he rewatched conjuring 2 this morning was not helping at all.

He was blabbering to himself about the situation when he saw a silhouette of a man coming towards him, followed by the noise his shoes made everytime he took a step towards him.

Jimin was terrified for the first time in his life he wasn't even that scared when he roamed alone in the dark alleyways at night.

Just imagine yourself in a dark corridor curled up in a ball seeing a man dressed in all black staring at you from a distance.

He was about to open his mouth to ask the stranger who he was when he heard something.... a chuckle??

"Wow dumbass didn't knew you'd get scared this easily." Jungkook deadpanned as he took off the hood revealing his face.

"JEON JUNGKOOK WHAT THE HELLL." jimin shouted clearly embarrassed and was blushing as well but it was not really visible due to the darkness.

"Calm down shorty no need to shout." Jungkook tried to calm Jimin down because if they kept shouting at each other, the whole campus wake up with them

"why are you this late??"
Jimin asked out of curiosity (actually hiding how scared he was)

"Well that's none of your concern." Jungkook retorted making his way in their room pushing Jimin aside.

"Rude" Jimin muttered.

Just as he was closing the door behind him, he heard a sound of keys dangling. He turned around and saw jungkook lazily holding his keys while grinning at him.

"Guess who is a an irresponsible little dwarf ??" Jungkook asked pretending to search for someone, finally landing his eyes on Jimin.

"Oh see, here he is" Jimin's eyes widened and he quickly came near Jungkook and tried to snatch it.

"give..it...to...me" Jimin said while panting and jumping as the giraffe was holding the keys much higher, forcing him to jump to have them.

As he was jumping, his foot slipped. So instinctively, he tried to grip on something to not fall, which just happened to be Jungkook's hoodie.

The next moment, when he opened his eyes, he saw a face in a very close proximity to his.

Jungkook's both hands were either side next to his torso, his legs on top of jimin's.

They were so close that if he just tried to move 1 cm.. Jimin wtf are you thinking get up!

He quickly pushed him off and stood up. Jungkook quickly broke out of the trance and stood up throwing the keys at Jimin before quickly making his way to his bedroom.

While jimin sat their cheeks red, a hand clutching onto his chest This idiot is going to be the death of me he thought before going to the washroom to wash his face and maybe calm down his racing heart.

Jungkook was no different hitting himself lightly on his head muttering a series of stupid's to himself.

"This is going to be a long journey."
