Nettletuft belongs to @Indigo_Violet_0414 , so all rights to them for this OC. Hope you enjoy the review, Indigo!
As always my comments will be after this ---> //Name: Nettletuft
//a simple, nice name. Its a bit more basic, but thats not always a bad thing! 9/10Former names: Nettlekit, Nettlepaw
//no commentRank: Warrior
Former ranks: Kit, Apprentice
//no commentClan: RiverClan
//RiverClan is a slightly bit overrated, but not nearly as much as ThunderClan, ugh- anyways, a good choice, though her name sounds more like a ShadowClan or ThunderClan name, but that really doesn't matter. 9/10Appearence: Petite, long-furred solid black she-cat. Long tail and legs, and emerald green eyes. A tear in her left ear and a scar along her side from a fox fight.
//the description is a bit short, though thats okay. I do have to say, she sounds alot like Hollyleaf, i dont know if that was on purpose. The scar along her side is a nice touch though. 7/10Personality: introverted and worrisome after her brother died. Some cats would call her paranoid because of how much she worries. She is logical as well, because she knows spontaneity could cost a cat their life. Though she is nervous and fidgety, Nettletuft is also kind and gentle, and loves kits because they remind her of her brother and how much fun they had when they were kits and while he was still alive.
//this is good! You can really see how much his brothers death changed her. Though i would have liked to hear about what she was like before her brothers death. And i do feel like she has more negative traits than positive ones, but overall this is a good personality! 9/10Family:
Mother: Duskstripe: light brown tabby with darker brown stripes, green eyes.
//its quite simple and kinda basic, but a good, realistic appearence. 7/10Father: Crowstrike: thick furred black tom with amber eyes.
//same as with Duskstripe, basic but realistic. Of course not all characters have to be really complicated. And props on you for using a (in my opinion) an underused suffix, -strike is such a good suffix im happy to see it used for once. 7/10 for him tooBrother: Thornkit, deceased: light brown tabby tom with green eyes.
//he looks like his mother, which is great, as i dont like when OCs look nothing like neither of their parents- though, he shouldnt be light brown according to actual genetics, but this is Warrior Cats, so genetics dont really matter. 7/10 for him aswellBackstory: Nettletuft was born to Duskstripe and Crowstrike of RiverClan along with her brother, Thornkit. Nettletuft and her brother were very close, but when they were 5 moons old, they snuck out of camp to fight a fox that the warriors had been talking about. They wanted to be apprentices right away, and thought this would get them to be apprentices earlier. Thornkit was killed, but Nettletuft got away with only a torn ear and a few scrapes. She felt horrible afterward, because she was the one who had suggested it, and started to become closed off and started to worry all the time. She has never really gotten over it, and though she has become alot less worried and nervous through the help of her mentor, Frostygaze, and her parents, she is still introverted and quiet. Now her biggest fear is that someone close to her, like her parents or best friend, will die like Thornkit did.
//this is quite good! But I must say it has a few cliches. This seems more like a base for a story than a real story. I think her parents and mentor should play a bigger role, like trying to comfort or be more protective of her, and Nettletuft and Thornkit should have had another reason to be out of camp and meet a fox alone, not just the basic "i want to be a warrior already!", maybe they wanted to go hunting, and didnt know there were foxes out there. I also think she should have gotten more scars, or a bigger one, like a long scar along her whole body. I think this is fine, it just needs some work. 6/10//Overall, she seems a bit cliche, but as all OCs she can be fixed! This also happened to be one of my harsher reviews, but i mean the rules do say be ready for constructive criticism. Of course, it is your OC, and you can do what you like.
anyway, i give Nettletuft an overall score of....
7.5/10!hope you enjoyed the review, Indigo! Please dont anything i said to heart, but do keep it in mind in the future (or dont, your choice)
Thank you, and have a good day!
