Chapter 5: Hanging Out

Time passed us by like a ray of light. Midterm week was already over, thank God for that and I think I did good. Anyway, I'm happy that things seem to be going well, with Ashley giving me friendly glances and for the first time yesterday, she joined us at lunch time with her two friends, the Min siblings. Oh yeah, I can sense that Akira was all giddy inside because of Ashley.

The only thing that bugged me was Junho. Yes, he often joins us at lunch, but he never hung out with us off campus, well the same's with Ashley, but Junho seems to be the kind of person who hangs out with his friends. He still goes in and out of school with Ashley often, but I could see that something was odd about him these days.

Back to reality. Classes are over for today, and thank God it's Friday. as we talked about yesterday, we decided to go to the cafe Hye Jin was talking about, but Ashley and the Min siblings couldn't come due to their family affairs. Those three are somewhat related due to their family ties ever since, and Junho couldn't come as well. He didn't say why, but he did say that he was busy.

I'm currently on my way to the school gates, and saw this black car, and Ashley boarded the car after the Min siblings. I paused from walking, noticing Ashley's blue face from afar. When she turned my way, she immediately half-grinned at me, giving a small wave before her body guard closed the door. I waved back with a smile as well, and watched the car drive away before continuing my pace to the school gates.

Arriving there, I saw Kasumi, Hye Jin, Kana, Danson, and Akira standing by the gates. Kasumi moved forward, grinning like her usual self as she spoke, "Let's get going, sis. I can't wait to try out their strawberry shortcake."

"You always did have a thing for sweet stuff, sis." I sighed with a smile, following the guys as they began to walk away, with Kasumi beside me, and Hye Jin was leading us to the cafe.

 We chatted about school-related stuff on our way to the cafe, and after a short while, we're already in front of the cafe. Danson went in first and Akira went in after him without a care like always. Danson stood there, holding the door for us. "After you, guys." He politely encouraged with a nod, smiling.

I quickly looked at my sister, and as usual, she looked a bit flushed since she likes Danson. I grabbed her hand and quickly went before Hye Jin and Kana, winking at them to know that I'm giving Kasumi a push in her love life. "Thanks. It looks like chivalry still exists in someone, unlike that thing who went inside." I said nodding at Danson, going in with Kasumi, also giving a slight nod and a sheepish smile at him, trying her best to not look like she's in distress as she looked into his eyes. Kana and Hye Jin went in after us, giggling to themselves as they whispered with each other.

Akira just rolled his eyes and looked around. It seems that he just pushed my insult aside, pretending that it didn't happen. Odd. "Let's take that table over there by the window on the last row. It has a nice view of the whole cafe." He suggested with his usual, bland tone of voice, heading there before us.

"Hmm, looks nice. Let's go." Hye Jin said in agreement, going after Akira with Kana trailer from behind.

I went after them, letting go of Kasumi's hand as I want her to have a chance to get close with Danson. As usual, I tried to spy, eavesdrop, or whatever on those two whenever they interact. When we got to our seats, we dictated out orders to Kana and she went to the counter for our orders. As we wait, Danson was the first one to speak.
