The sun set its golden rays of light over the tranquil nation of Inazuma as it always has. Soon enough, The navy blue of the night sky began to grow as the stars lit up the world above me. I admired everything from the window of my bedroom. It had been some time since I've been outside.
"I cannot really remember the last time I had gone out." I thought to myself as I took in the view.
For some time I stared down at the towns, trees, and meadows when I noticed some little lights shooting across the sky. The only thing in motion in the otherwise static sky. I could not see them very well due to the light of the town. Realizing this, I was overcome with the urge to go find a better place to view the spectacle.
I strolled through town. The shops were closing up as per usual so I hurried to the restaurant hoping to sneak in a few sweets before I go. The restaurant was still open. I over-indulged myself and ordered too much.
"My, it's such an honour to have your patronage here your excellency." The waitress said with a smile.
"Your selection here is nice, I cannot resist but order more," I replied, slightly guilty for not being mindful of my figure.
The waitress gave a little giggle. I paid the bill and continued on. Some more exercise was in order.
I arrived at a clearing. The night sky was beautiful, the serene ocean was relaxing and the sweet smell of sakura flowers made my worries melt away. I wish I could stay here forever.
As I sat in the meadow, I watched the stars go by. I heard that if one were to wish while a star flew by it would come true but I have no wishes other than preserving Inazuma for all eternity. Now that I think of it, sharing Inazuma's beauty with someone else would be nice.
I scanned the scenery making sure to take in everything; soon noticing a blonde stranger and a floating... child? fairy? obligatory travel companion? They too were admiring the view. I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me, it was getting late after all. I ignored them but each time I looked back, they were still there. They were talking and laughing and seemed so happy. Those two had something I never had in a very long time. Quickly, I had a sudden urge to say hello. Before I even made up my mind, there I was, standing right there. The pair noticed me. No chance I could leave without looking strange. Actually, looking strange was inevitable thanks to me just standing there like a haunted marionette. Only insects and the ocean could be heard. After what felt like an eternity, the small white-haired girl's voice pierced the silence.
"Hi! are you here making wishes too?" The floating companion squeaked.
"Oh... uhmm..." I scrambled to find my words, "No. I was... admiring the night sky and the sakura trees. It is rare for this breed of opportunity to appear."
"What were you wishing for?" I added, almost without thought.
"If we told you, it won't come true," the blond answered cheekily. Is that how wishes work?
As I got a good look at them, it was obvious they weren't from around here. I don't like outlanders. They make things different, change Inazuma, the very thing I want to prevent. These two, however, didn't seem the kind to cause trouble so I'll let them be so long as they leave.
"Are you two sightseeing here?" I inquired.
"We're looking for my sibling," the outlander replied.
Hearing that, I couldn't help but feel sorry.
"You must be very close if you are willing to come this far," I commented.
The traveler nodded. Seemingly saddened by the thought. Then, it struck me. Perhaps I could help them. That way, they could be on their way and leave me be. I offered my assistance, the look on their faces gave me a strange yet pleasant feeling. This night was different from any other night in Inazuma. For once in what was an eternity, I let someone new into my life...
