Idk what to name this chapter. Wuteva. Please ignore it.

*weeks later*

Elena was practicing her flying in the quidditch pitch...or so it seemed.

She was actually using her wind manipulation to control the broom, while Felicia watched (Soleil was once again in detention, this time for putting mice in Nott's robes).

She had realised in her second year that her powers became uncontrollable when she stopped herself from using them. Thus, she joined the Hufflepuff quidditch team to secretly practice her fairy magic, until she eventually resigned in her third year.

"You know, I kind of miss playing quidditch..." she said to Felicia as they walked back to the castle, who raised an eyebrow.

"You were cheating the whole time." She reminded her.

"Yeah, it's why I resigned...I already intended to at the start of the year. If only Cedar had just asked me, instead of taking it out on my paintings..." she said, looking at the lake. It gave a beautiful look in the dim evening light.

"Hey, do you mind if I go to the lake for a minute? Take my broom to my dorm, will you?" She asked Felicia.

"Sure. Why're you going there though?"

"It's good scenery"

"So?"

"makes great ideas for paintings."

Felicia grinned at this, and took Elena's broom to the castle without further questioning.

Elena walked towards the shimmering lake, thinking how it could be mimicked with paint...The reflection of trees of the forbidden forest gave an added effect...
When she was close enough to get complete view of it, when she saw some people on the edge.

She continued approaching it. It didn't matter if there was someone there. Everyone was perfectly allowed to visit the lake.
She was able to make out who the three people were. Nott, Yaxley and Selwyn. Selwyn was faced towards the other two, just a few inches from the water.

"We kept your secret, but you weren't happy with that, were you?" Yaxley hissed.

"Went running to Macmillan, didn't you? And of coarse, that Zeller girl told Abott...She broke the deal. So now, all of Slytherin will know everything." Nott threatened him, "good luck staying at Hogwarts then."

Yaxley approached him. Selwyn took backwards steps to distance himself.

"What's with you two?! I've never done you any wrong then why're you doing this?!" he shouted.

"So sad...I can't believe I never realised that." Nott mockingly said.

"I can't believe I was friends with you." Yaxley snarled. Selwyn recoiled.
He then pushed him. Selwyn fell in the water. The two chuckled, and high-fived each other.

Elena pulled out her wand very carefully, and aimed it at Nott. She was close enough now.

"Stupefy!"

The stunning spell hit her in the back. Yaxley jumped in surprise, looking for who did it. Being not the wittiest person, he did not remember to pull out his wand.

She shot another stunning spell at him. He fell on the floor.

Selwyn stood up in the water, coughing and panting. He was soaked wet. He looked from Elena to the bodies in astonishment while holding his own freezing body in his arms.

"did you stun them?" He asked, shivering.

"Yeah" she replied. She pulled off her oversized blue jacket, and held it out for him.

He looked at it and then at her, an eyebrow raised.

"Clichè much?"

She rolled her eyes.
"You're wet and it's October. You're also not the hero of a movie."

He looked at it, considering if he should take it.

"It won't fit me."

"I bought it from the male's section, and it's too big for me."

He stared, perplexed.
"Why do you buy male clothes?"

Elena flushed.
"I don't usually...Felicia made me do it when we were doing truth and dare, that's all."

He chuckled, but then stopped himself, as if he didn't want to. The bodies at their feet were beginning to stir as he pulled on the jacket.

"They're probably going to tell everyone that I'm a werewolf. I guess this is it...nobody's going to want a werewolf among their children." He muttered. He looked close to tears.
A thought occured to Elena.

"But what if they never tell anyone?" Elena suggested, thinking.

"What?"

"If we erase their memory...You'll have a second chance. They haven't told anyone else, right?"

He shook his head.

"Do you know how to do the spell?" He asked.

"Uh..."

She hadn't considered this. She knew the incantation, but had no idea of how exactly the spell is cast.

He seemed to have read her thoughts, and said, "I know the theory. I'll give it a try."

He held out his wand, and muttered 'obliviate'. Elena sighed. If it worked, he would be able to stay at Hogwarts...and maybe go back to being a selfish person.

Their eyes moved out of focus, and the effect of the stunning spell wore off.

"Hopefully it worked..."
Elena nodded, and turned to leave. It was getting dark, and she needed to be inside quickly.

"Elena!" Selwyn called her.

She froze, her heart thumping slightly more loudly. He had just called her by her first name.

*Elios's perspective*

She turned around
He kept looking at her. There was a sense of familiarity between them now.

"Thank you." He said, loud enough for her to hear. He wasn't worried of what the other two would think... He wanted to say it before he lost his chance.

She smiled, and Elios had a swooping feeling in his stomach that had nothing to do with the cold.
She turned back and dashed towards the castle.

"What happened?" Melinda mumbled in confusion, rubbing the back of her head.

"Why're you wet?" Simon asked him, just as confused.

"Nothing. I just...wanted a swim." He stiffly said.

"In October? Mate, are you okay?"

Elios felt an unusual urge to push him in the water, but resisted.

"Yeah. Never been better." He sarcastically replied.

"It's getting late. Let's go inside." Melinda reminded them.
She was right. If they were not in the castle before dark, they'd be in trouble.

They roamed towards the castle. Elios had a feeling Elena had probably already reached it. He kept his pace quicker than the others, keeping a distance from the two, and very happy of their unquestioning behavior.
They reached castle in time for dinner. The two went straight to the great hall, but Elios excused himself.

His stomach was growling rather loudly, but he did not feel upto sitting among the whole school.

He unintentionally put his hands in the jacket's pocket, and felt something. He pulled it, and found a caramel toffee.

Smiling, he turned back to the hall. He put it back in the pocket.
Perhaps I'll have a bit of pudding, he thought.
