Chapter 5: Back to Normal, Kind Of

                                                               Hayden's POV

        The past two weeks have been a pain except I had my little brother to keep me company and entertained. I was not allowed to do anything and when I tried I was yelled at. It's finally monday and I can you back to school, though everyone else thought it was a bad idea. As I made my way down stairs I felt myself being picked up. As I looked up I saw the face of my beautifully overprotective mate.

        "Derek, what are you doing?" I asked.

        "Carrying you," he looked at me like duh as he spoke.

        "Why? I am off of bed rest."

        "Yes, but I am going to protect you and to really do that you can't walk," he told me with his infamous smirk.

        "Oh, come on I'm not that clumsy," I stated, though I knew I was.

        "YES YOU ARE!" I heard Derek, Stiles, my Mom, and Sheriff Stilinski shout.

        "And you are still suppose to be taking it easy with all your broken bones," Derek said.

        "Well I appreciate your concern, but I can walk, " I said while trying to get down."

        "Fine," Derek stated hesitantly putting me down, but kept his arm around me.

        I then proceeded to the kitchen for some breakfast, then we met Stiles at the door. Before we made it out the door though, my mom stopped me.

        "Are you sure you are ready to go to school?" she asked me worried.

        "Yes, mom I 'm getting cabin fever and plus we already agreed that someone would always be with me."

        She looked at me worried, but said, "Fine, but be careful. And Derek, " she said looking at him, "keep her safe."

        "Oh I will," he said with determination.

        "Okay, I love you!" She said giving me a hug.

        Hugging he back I said, "I love you too!"

        And with that we were out the door on our way to school, Stiles and I riding seperate from Derek. As we pulled up to the school everyone else was already there, no shocker. When the car was in park, I jumped out, ran, and hugged everyone.

        "It's been to long!" I exclaimed.

        "I know I about killed Derek for not letting me see you. I'm honestly surprised he let Stiles be around you," Lydia said.

        "Oh I know!" I exclaimed.

        "He rarely let me near her and when he did he always had to be there," Stiles interupted.

        "Good for him," Lydia said smirking.

        "So what's been going on? Have yall figured anything else out yet?" I asked.

        "Not much, I've been looking around, but I think they left the cell under the old Hale house," Scott said looking frustrated.

        "Oh, it's okay Scott we will find something soon," though I was worried and Stiles could tell.

        "Don't worry sis, we'll keep you safe. Plus if they come near you Derek will rip them limb from limb," Stiles said with his usually amount of sarcasm at the end.

        As I laughed and said, "Yeah!" the bell rings and we all walk to class.

        As the day goes on everything seems fine until Lydia and I go to Derek's class, where we had a new student.

        When he walked unto the class he had a creepy looking smirk on his face and as he looked at me chills went through my whole body. All the other girls in the class though were swooning over him, except for Lydia and obviously myself.

        "Class this is our new student, Josh. Please make him feel welcome. You can take the seat behind Hayden," He said pointing to me and rolling his eyes at the girls who gave me death stares, but in reality I knew he wanted to kill them for looking at me like they did.

        As he sits down, he leands forward, and whispers, "I know what you are my beautiful little siren and the your dating out dear teacher."

        When I heard this I tensed up. I looked at Lydia who I knew also heard what he said and she was tense as well. Then I looked at Derek who was fuming, but because he didn't like to see this Josh kid so close to me. The only thing I could think was how did he find out and these thoughts came out through my words.

        "What are you talking about? How do you know anything?" I asked him scared.

        He just gave me that body chilling smirk. It was then I realized I was having a painc attack, but it was already to late. Then I saw black.
