Depression

It doesn’t just hit you out of nowhere; it slowly crawls into your life. Slowly extracting your every drop of happiness and self-esteem, until your laughter, smiles, and self-confidence become an excruciating routine just to keep everyone else happy.

It doesn’t just make you sad or a little upset, it puts a boulder on your chest and shoves every little thought, action, and word into your mind to make you feel guilty, hurt, hopeless, helpless, worthless, stupid, weak, ugly, fat, and makes you believe that everyone including yourself would be better off if you were gone.

It doesn’t let you choose to be this way though; it shoves you into it without you even knowing until you’re already six feet under. Making you believe that no matter what there is no help for you, makes you believe that hurting yourself is for the best, and that death is the only answer. But let me tell you this, no matter what happened, no matter what you did, no matter, if you think you can’t get out of your situation, you always can. There will always be someone who cares about you; there will always be someone who would never forget about you, there will always be someone there to help you. You just have to take that first step and admit that you need that help and that you want it.
