His ears registered a beeping sound, that was the first thing that he realized. Then what came second, was the bright light and the soft bed underneath him. Oh... Killua opened his eyes, only to take a sharp breath at what he saw. The plain white walls, the medical supplies, the window looking from his room outward. He was in a hospital. Tears fell from his eyes as a horde of memories flashed through his brain. GET ME OUT OF THIS BED! He threw himself on the floor, arms trembling. When his eyes fell on the shiny leg of the bed he noticed that his hair was snow white and he wasn't wearing his contacts. N-No, I don't- "Woah!" Killua looked up with wide eyes at a blonde haired doctor that had walked in, she had an alarmed and worried expression. "Hey bud, did you fall?" She knelt down next to him, helping him to his feet. "W-Where am I?" She frowned slightly. "You got attacked by a villain remember, you're in Sakuna hospital" She tried to lead him over to the bed and he shoved her away, she stumbled back with a shocked look in her eyes as he took a few steps away and fell to his knees, shivering slightly. "Kid, you have to lay-" Killua shot her a glare and she froze. "No!" He snapped, tears streaming down his face. She knelt down beside him again. "Your body still isn't fully recovered yet" he scooted a little away from the bed again and she glanced from it to him. "Is it...the bed itself?" He looked away, eyes blurry. "G-get me out" He said shakily.

"Killua!" he gasped and looked up, only to see Mitsuki burst through the door. The woman looked up at her. "Uh...is there a reason why he refuses to sleep on the bed? He won't go anywhere near it" She paused, looking down at him. "Um...I'm sure there is a reason but I wouldn't know it" Killua wiped his eyes. "G-Get me out. Out of the room, I d-don't-" He choked on his words a little. The image of Gon, in bandages, his shriveled arm. "It sounds like he has some sort of trauma" The doctor muttered. Killua's trembling hands went to his face, he started speaking without consciously meaning to. "The white, bandages, no, it's...i-it's-" Mitsuki put a hand on his back and he grabbed her arm with a desperate look in his eyes. "Get me out, I don't care. I hate this room, I can't stand it" Her eyes widened. "O-Oh. Hey ma'am, is there a different room he could be transferred to?" She shrugged. "I can try" Killua's grip shook, tears rolled down his cheeks. "G-Gon" he whispered. Mitsuki's eyes went wide and he was pulled into her lap, shaking slightly. "Does it make you remember?" She murmured. Killua shivered a little. "F-First time, I betrayed him. I wasn't fast enough. He didn't let me help, his arm, so...s-so" Killua couldn't speak anymore, Mitsuki rubbed soothing circles on his back, then the doctor came back in. "Follow me ma'am" Mitsuki lifted him up with a grunt and they started walking, they walked for a few minutes when they arrived in what looked like an interrogation room.

Killua blinked, then slid down from her arms. He walked slowly over to the chair, then slid down into it and looked down at the table blankly. "There's more comfortable chairs you know, why'd you pick that one?" He blinked slowly at the doctor's question. "Interrogation room...this is the right chair right?" He mumbled. She sat down at the other end with a slight frown. "Why do you think you'd be interrogated?" For...what I did wrong? No, they don't know that. Why am I here? "Does he have a split personality or something? Because from his records..." Killua shook his head slowly. "Fake it 'till you make it" He mumbled. There was nobody to act for right now, so why should he? He was supposed to die. I was ready. "Wait, I thought you got better. You mean...that was all acting?" Mitsuki said with slight alarm. The doctor stiffened a little. He looked down. "Had a goal...can I do it?" Mitsuki put a hand on his shoulder. "Yes you can. You can do it, c'mon you waited two whole damn years. Your so close!" Killua said nothing, and the doctor sighed. "Ok, I can work with this." She muttered. "So...what exactly happened during the villain attack?" He blinked slowly. "Appeared behind me, said he was going to use me as a skinsuit" Her eyes widened in horror. "Tried to resist as hard as I could. Then he said...s-said..." Killua wiped his eyes and looked away. "He said if I gave up...he'd kill me quickly." Mitsuku's hand tightened on his shoulder a little. "NARIN!" The door banged open as a male black haired doctor shouted. The female doctor jumped. "Kilo? What's wrong?" Mitsuki looked over her shoulder at him but Killua didn't bother looking.

He quickly ran over and he noticed how he seemed to be out of breath. "I just got a report from the villain in the attack this kid was involved with" Oh... She blinked in surprise. "Already? But why so urgent?" He pointed to Killua. "That kid is suicidal" Her eyes widened in horror once more. "W-What..?" Killua raised his eyes to meet hers with a blank expression. The male doctor had recovered his breath and started talking. "Apparently when the villain presented the offer, he told him to do it. That he'd been thinking about it for a while and said something about seeing someone again?" Mitsuki's hand came down hard on the top of his head and his eyes went wide. "You're an idiot!" His eyes watered slightly, the doctors seemed to be taken aback at the harshness when her 'son' had just tried to kill himself essentially. Killua let out a sigh. "Two years...was long enough for me. I'm tired, tired of fighting. Why should I?" The woman took a breath. "You said you had a goal, that goal was to go to U.A right?" He nodded slowly. "Why do you want to go to U.A?" Killua thought for a moment. Why..."I have to...atone" He murmured. The female and male doctors both froze. "Atone?" The male one asked in confusion. He brought his knees up to his chest, then rested his chin on them. "Ma'am, he's your son. Do you have any idea what he's talking about?" Mitsuki bit her lip. "He's not actually blood related to me. I found him around two years ago on the sidewalk pretty much in this state, although a lot less talkative. " She glanced at him. "Tell me, do I know the reason?" He shook his head slowly. Her eyes widened slightly. "Then why?"

Killua looked down. "I have to fix it. I can be good, just like he was." Killua mumbled quietly. I haven't done that yet. I can't go. "Become a hero. Someone who helps people instead of hurting them, he always said I could change." A little bit of fire came back to his eyes, the three adults were silent. "I can't die, not yet. I have to make it better first. Or I'd be betraying him again" Killua stood up, then grabbed Mitsuki's arm. She was smiling a little. "That's right. Your Katsuki, a fighter. You go to U.A and become a hero" She said, ruffling his hair a little. I'm not done yet, it's not over. It isn't over until I've reformed myself. Until I've at least saved a handful of people. Killua nodded once, wiping his eyes. "Yes. The exam's in 10 months, I have to get ready" Mitsuki blinked. "It's in 10 months, you have time" Killua put his Katsuki front up. "I said let's get going old hag!" She shot him a small glare. "That's no way to speak to your mother brat!" She snapped, although he saw the look in her eyes. She's going back to the way she was, to keep me focused. Help me remember who I am now. "H-Hold on, he's still not fully healed-" Killua turned. "Baaka!" He sneered. "Sure some loser might be shaken, but no way in hell a puny villain's gonna bring me down." Mitsuki sighed. "He was more hurt emotionally then he was physically. His fire's back, so it shouldn't be a problem" Killua turned. "C'mon old hag! Let's go already" He snapped, before exiting the room. "Wait for your mother brat!" She shouted back.
