Sophie raced back to Everglen, Biana trailing not far behind her. The reception hall. Sophie paused for a brief moment, before running into the large room. Years ago, right outside this room, she'd daydreamed about her Winnowing Gala, a match with Fitz, and to fit in with the ever-so perfect elvin society. Except, then she'd been deemed unmatchable, broken up with Fitz, and had become too busy trying save the world to care about anything else. She was Sophie Foster. Just the freakish brown-eyed girl with 5 abilities. As soon as Sophie entered the room, the smell of smoke erupted in her lungs. It wasn't the ashy, sweet smell of everblaze, so hopefully this fire would be extinguishable. There were nearly no guests left in the hall and Sophie hoped there weren't any casualties. She couldn't think about that. Not now.

Sophie and Biana searched the room and came up empty-handed. The pyrokinetic was gone.

"Where'd the smoke come from?" she asked Biana. Biana lifted her finger and posted towards the flame-wrecked door.

"It was just a fire that erupted from the doors. My dad went to check it out, but there wasn't anyone there." Alden sat on the least-burnt chair in the hall, and was nursing a burn near the base of his leg. Sophie headed toward then overbearing doors at the end of the hall. The door itself was not damaged, other than small fires surrounding the other side.

"Weird, huh?" Biana appeared behind her, "The fires won't go out."

"What kind of fire is this?" Sophie studied the controlled flames, not spreading any farther then the small circles the pyrokinetic lit.

"We'll have to ask Forkle if he knows anything. Marella too."

Sophie let her thoughts wander. Another unregistered pyrokinetic. How?
