Chapter 18

The brothers awoke and sat up, staring down at the still sleeping woman. People came running over, Chopper inspecting Luffy while Marco checked Ace over.

Law looked down at the woman, "She's healing rapidly." He looked at her approvingly before heading away. "She just needs rest now."

Neither brother wanted to move, Ace finally budging after insistence from Marco. Luffy just laid down and curled against her to sleep.

A few days later Hana finally woke up. Feeling weight against her, she peered down at the sleeping figure. Her hand reached up to comb through his hair, as she slowly woke up.

Her body hurt but not terribly. And she was alive, definitely healed much faster than normal. Based on their surroundings, it was definitely not the floating castle island anymore. It looked like a nice room, interesting.

"Ah Hana you're up!"

Chopper came scuttling to her side, a cup in his hand. "Here have some water." Hana sat up as much as she could without disturbing Luffy.

"Chopper. Where are we?"

The good doctor smiled as he sat down. "We're in Momonosuke's home. He's letting us stay here while we rest." He touched her face and then looked down at Luffy. "You've been out for a few days. How are you feeling?"

Hana mused over that fact, still playing with Luffy's hair. "I feel fine. Where is everyone else?" Her gaze around the room told her it was just them here and no one else.

"Everyone is relaxing or resting. It's been quite a fight."

"Any severe injuries I should look at?"

"No," Chopper pushed her down as she tried to sit up again. "You rest some more, stay here and relax. I'll go get Sanji to make you guys some food." The reindeer left the duo there.

"Well it seems you beat two Emperors Luffy," Her gaze soft as she looked at the boy. "You're made for extraordinary things, taking the world by storm." He sure was an amazing lad, no wonder the World Government was afraid of him. He was spinning the world on its axis, changing alliances and rules.

"Shishishishi, you helped." Large eyes peered up at her, "You fought Kaido too." His grip on her tightened as he snuggled into her chest.

Her fingers resumed their combing, massaging his head lightly. "Aye. But you took him down in the end. I'm just here to assist." She was never one to be the main character, her role was to help Luffy become pirate king. "Two down, two to go."

Hana adjusted herself to allow Luffy a more comfortable position. "Go back to sleep, Luffy. I'll wake you up when the food comes." He didn't hear the rest as he went right back to sleep, snoring lightly.

Chuckling, Hana just closed her eyes. It has been so hectic lately, she hasn't relaxed in a long time. It felt nice. Just doing nothing, it didn't hurt that her body was exhausted.

A voice spoke in her head. Hello. Hana flinched slightly, at the sudden voice in her head. Better get used to it. I'm here to stay.

"Hello Kurama. Wasn't expecting to hear you in my head. Is this how you and Naruto communicated?"

Yes. He was much more chatty than you.

Hana snorted, quieting when she felt Luffy shift. "He did talk a lot. Means well, just a happy and determined kid." Her memories of Naruto were always so happy. She never thought of him as a demon, he was her little brother. Hopeful, determined, happy.

That other boy reminds me of him.

"Luffy? Yeah they're both very determined and hopeful. Full of adventure and wanting to make friends." Her fingers trailed across Luffy's scar under his eye. "The man who will become Pirate King and change the world in the process."
