The delicate sound of pattering outside was audible from the comfort of a warm house. A comforting, and rather warm aroma carried itself through the rooms, that of fireplace smoke and heavenly, simmering herbs. The unique and fragrant perfumes rode through the airways, flooding around each corridor and through every hallway, before leading to the room that held two elderly teens.
Stunning, alabaster-white hair was visible, even from the doorway. Such a rarity belonged to one of the aforementioned boys that lay against the bed frame. Elijah, that was his name.
"Come here. I need you." muttered the other, there was an obvious tint of aggression that blanketed the rather layered fear that still lingered in the young man's voice. The creamy-haired boy quickly turned his shoulders, the presence of a charming grin forming upon his gorgeously squared jaw.
"Yes love, what can I do for you?" Elijah responded, the young adult's voice was eerily soothing, peppy, with just the right amount of ease and comfort. A rasp from his earlier doze had caught up with him, catching saliva in his throat. Clearing his chest of the scratchy tone, the boy bent his petite figure to the bedside, leaning down to give his black-haired lover a kiss on the forehead.
"Just get in." Jasper responded, the curls of his picturesque, divine black locks hanging low above his forehead. Elijah had always adored his boyfriends hair, the color especially. He liked to think of them as Yin & Yang, and although the attributes didn't exactly line up with the philosophy, the hues of their hair certainly resembled it!
Elijah carefully folded back the comforters of Jasper's bed into a delicate triangle, before pulling himself up from the crouching position and sliding softly into the nest of pillows and stuffed animals.
"Happy now?" He asked, bending his head lower to sweep the stunning wave of bangs from the others beautifully tanned forehead. Elijah didn't quite understand when his love for this precious boy had gotten so deep, however, now all he could find himself doing was getting lost in the infinite pool of harmony that resided deep in his boyfriends blue eyes.
"Mhmm.." A mumble was heard, but otherwise buried in the beds creaking as the two inched closer together. Love burned courageously in his chest, swallowing his worry and evolving into an intoxicating plume of flames, scorching at his lungs and throat.
Elijah's heart ached as his delicate hues blinked dreamily into Jasper's eyes, there was some comfort in the matching pair of denim globes, matching the same pigment as his own. Wrapping his clothed arms around the slightly shorter man, the warmth of his hand was softly placed against his lover's cheek, before bending down to apply a brief kiss to Jasper's nose.
A short squeak was audible behind the faint groaning of the bed frame and wood. Looking down, he found what might have been the most adorable face he'd ever seen in his short, teen life. The smaller boy was nothing but a bundle of hands and hair, fingers carefully placed over his eyes. The individual appendages created a cellar-like appearance, giving a brief view of his flustered and widened cerulean eyes, the color as equally gorgeous as that in the sky.
"What are you whining for, hmm?" Elijah questioned, the soft comfort of his voice blanketed the rather villainous clouds that rumbled outside of the closed window.
Feeling a hard grip at his waist, The taller boy turned his crown to see the other pressed against his chest, a frightened look made its first appearance on his usually uptight and passive aggression boyfriend.
"What's wrong, love? Did I frighten you that much?" Amusement was masked underneath the deep pit of consideration that seeped into his tone, the heavy weight of his loving heart felt as though it might drop into the pit of his stomach at the thought of scaring Jasper.
"N-no! You just..mmh..t-thunder, didn't you hear it?" The heavenly tune of his lover's voice made its way into his ears, warm and bright, it reminded Elijah so very much of a Christmas tree. Rich perfumes dug into his throat, almost liquid in his mouth as he drank in the wonderful fragrance of his beloved's lingering cologne.
Another clench at his sides, harder. A crack shattered the sky in a collision of dark clouds and rain, lighting up the sky with creamy alabaster light for no more than a brief millisecond. He could imagine small grooves were visible amongst the white skin of his lower sides, faint fingernail marks.
Wrapping his arms gently around the perfectly sculpted figure of his boyfriends body, he opened his mouth to inhale a fresh wave of oxygen, pressing a warm kiss to the peaceful skin of his lover's neck.
"You're safe, it's just a loud noise, it can't hurt you. Trust me love, it's miles away, alright?" Elijah peered once again into the picturesque ocean of Jasper's eyes, his lips rising upwards against the sunkissed layer of his cheeks to create a warm and charming smile that danced upon the squared bones of his jaw.
"I-..right, yeah, I know." The defiant, distant voice quickly returned, rushing into Jasper's voice like a tidal wave of salty sea water, matching the perfectly stunning picture of those cold, cerulean iris's. In all honesty, Elijah couldn't deny his liking for either side of the personality his lover posed, he adored them both equally, in all aspects.
"Of course you do." He mused, however, even with the self sufficient attitude Jasper seemed to wear, he could still feel a silent grip on his sides, the cold touch of the shorter mans lotioned hands soothing against the boiling tar pit of his skin.
"I love you, darling."
"I love you too."
