Remus Lupin

Full moons during the summer were the ones Remus hated the most.
Not because of the hot sun, or the lack of rain, or the change of setting but because of the lack of friends. The animals trying to maintain a werewolf were now gone and were now replaced with a werewolf biting himself every minute. The warmth of his dorm, surrounded by his friends were now gone too and was replaced by the hot hue of the summer sun.

Remus always tried to endure the Summer as much as he can, he knew it was merely temporary. It was the first transformation of the break, and he only had two left to go through. Though he did like the treatment he received after the full moon. His father gives him potions, potions to ease his pain while his mother rubs balms on his bruises and scratches, it was merely natural herbs from muggles yet it worked well.

"Remus, dear, come down and eat breakfast, I made chocolate porridge."
His mother said after a knock on the door. Remus slowly and carefully stood up, he grabbed a cardigan to cover his shirtless top without any regard for its design or whether it was closed properly. Once he was outside, he found his mother waiting for him, ready to assist him down the stairs.

His parents never liked Remus' lycanthropy. Ever since he was bitten by Greyback he knew there was a change. His father rarely took Remus with him during trips now and his mother never showed physical affection of any kind ever since. Though they were still there for him, he didn't miss the longing looks they had towards Remus' old photos. The young boy who wasn't a werewolf.

Once Remus arrived at the dining table, he greeted his father with a good morning and found a bowl of chocolate porridge already in front of him. His mother always cooked chocolate porridge after full moons, and Remus always liked them.
Just as his mother sat down, a knock sounded from the door. With a sigh, she stood up to open it.

Remus had his back towards the door so he couldn't look back at the door to see who it was, he didn't mind it enough to look. Just as he took in a spoonful of chocolate porridge, he paused when he heard a familiar voice speak from the door,

"Good morning, does Remus Lupin live here?"
With a loud creak of the chair, Remus immediately spun around in his seat to see Arabella Campbell, standing on his front door, making eye contact with him. The small size of his house made it easier for him to spot her.

Remus thought she looked beautiful, beautiful as always but that reminded him of his appearance, mouth full of chocolate porridge, an unbuttoned cardigan revealing his scratches, hair not even combed or washed yet. So immediately, he spun back around, his back now towards Arabella. He ignored the confused glance from his father when he swallowed the porridge, buttoned up his cardigan, and fixed his hair. Meanwhile, his mother answered

"Yes dear he lives here, and it seems he's very eager to see you. Come in, come in."
Remus stood up, now ready to face Arabella but his father got his attention with a clear of his throat. He gestured to the right corner of his lips making Remus mirror his action, he felt something wet and a bit sticky on his face then he realized there was a bit of chocolate porridge on it. Once he wiped it away, his father immediately sent a thumbs up and Remus couldn't help but smile.
When he was sure he was ready, he turned to face Arabella.

"Remus.. hi"
She greeted with a smile.

"Hi.. Belle. What are you doing here?"
He asked, eyes not leaving her not even for a second to glance at his parents' amused reactions.

"Remus. Do you mind introducing who she is first?"
His mother requested, earning a blush from Remus as he slowly walked over to stand next to Arabella.

"This is Arabella Campbell. A friend of mine from school."

"Is your father, Christopher Campbell?"
Remus' father asked the question took both Remus and Arabella a bit taken aback.
