Katy
"Hold still! I'm going to end up burning you and then the groom will kill me!" Dee says. I can hear pure joy in her voice though. I wipe my hands on my robe nervously. Today is the day, as in the day I become Mrs. Katy Black. I mean, Daemon and I got married in Vegas, but we wanted the whole experience of stressing about the wedding. Besides, Dee really wanted to plan the thing, not that Daemon let her completely plan it."Dee, I'm sorry. Its just I'm so nervous." A knock on the door keeps Dee from replying. She looks at me questioningly, "It's not him," I say, shaking my head. "Come in," Dee says. The door opens revealing Beth and a joyful looking Ashley. Ashley spots me and fights to jump from her mother's arms. Smiling, Beth puts the little Origin down. Ashley makes her way towards me. Before she can a warm feeling tickles the back of my neck. Feeling me tense up Dee hands the curling iron to me and disappears and reappears in front of the door. Beth runs over and helps Dee keep the door shut.
"Daemon go away! You're not supposed to see the bride before the wedding actually starts!" Dee yells. I can see a glow appear through the cracks of the door. Kitten? Daemons voice sounds through my mind. Shaking my head I reply, Daemon I'm not ready yet, and Dee would have a heart attack if you saw me yet. Please just wait? I hear a manly laugh on the other side of the door.
"Very well! It appears that I'm not welcome, so I guess I'll just leave!" We all relax. This wedding needs to be perfect, and instead of kissing to seal the deal Daemon and I decided that we were going to do what the Luxen did. Daemon will slip from his human form and I'll go all hybrid glow-worm-something I have been practicing to call upon at will not when I'm ticked- and do a blood oath like thing. I remember when Daemon told me all about it.
I smile, thinking about what we went through just to be here. Then the smile falls on my face. We still lost some Carissa, my mom, and many more. After this was all said and done we found Lesa and when she found out what Daemon, Dee, and Dawson was she has wanted nothing to do with us. That had hurt real bad.
"Hey," Dee says cupping my face, "We may have lost some, but we can't dwell on the past forever, not when what's happening today is going on. Just be strong OK? If you do then so will I." Beth comes over and puts her hand on my shoulder. Nodding I stand up shakily. I turn and grab the dress. Tears well up in my eyes, I blink them away, if only my mom could see this, my mom. Who probably spend her last few months worrying about me and wondering where I was.
Pushing that away, I grab my dress. It truly was beautiful. Dee and I had agreed to it. Much to Daemons delight it had one zipper on the side and hugged my body very well.
"Wait until Daemon sees you in this dress," Beth says. Dee wrinkles her nose. "I think I can wait for that," she says. Beth and I laugh. Ashley grabs the edge of my dress and feels it with her chubby little hands. We all just stare at her for a while. A knock on the door makes us all jump.
"It's just me! Dee are you guys done yet?" Archer says. Almost, I think to myself. We stay quiet until we hear Archer's footsteps retreat.
"Ready?" Dee asks us. Beth and I nod, while Ashley waves her fist at us. Dee opens the door allowing us all to exit in our correct order.
Archer meets me at the door with his arm sticking out. I take it, as we are walking out things that could go wrong go through my head.
"If it makes you feel any better your a bit calmer than Daemon," Archer says. I nod. Speaking of Daemon I look straight ahead and stop him. Let me tell you, nothing looks better than Daemon Black in a tux. His eyes are trained on me. Something in he eyes promise that he is picturing me without my dress. A pink flush appears on my face, and the corner of his lips turn up. I give him a little wink, his eyes widened in shock. I smirk, where am I getting all of this courage?
When we finally reach the end of the aisle, I can even focus on what the preacher is saying. The next thing I know Daemon is whispering "Ready?" in my ear. I nod. We both slip into glow-worm mode.
Once everything is said and done, Daemon and I slip back to human-mode. He leans over and whispers, "You do know where that dress is going when we get home right?" A pink flush appears on my face, again. Smirking, Daemon kisses me. It's a kiss that is full of promises. And I'm so happy. This is it.
I'm finally Mrs. Daemon Black.
