I lay in bed, the fresh minty taste of toothpaste still infused into my saliva. My eyes stare up onto my blank bedroom roof, the air feels thick and heavy with the coldness of the air. Loudly, I exhale and roll onto my right side. I'm so bored. I can't sleep. My laptops dead so I can't watch Netflix or YouTube or listen to music, and the plug to charge it is so far away. These thoughts remain in my head for another 5 minutes, replaying one after another. Then I remembered my phone, I dig for it out of under my pillow and find it. The time is 2:22am and my phones on 35%. I unlock it, the light burning my eyes. What to do. None of my friends are awake. Then I remember.

I open my notes app. The top note was edited 3 weeks ago, it's locked and the title is the simple cloud emoji. I click onto the note and use my fingerprint to open it. There remains my script to shift to a faraway place in a completely  new reality, still untouched by my subconscious.

I re-read the script over and over again, before searching for my AirPods and finding my favourite shifting subliminal. I closed my eyes and let the subliminal take over me.
1, 2, 3, 4, . . . . . . . . 56, 57, 58, . . . . . . .,
My body begins to feel like it's floating. A strong white light beams towards me closer and brighter with every number I count. A strong itch takes over my entire right leg and my eyes begin to twitch.
70, 71, 72, 73, . . . . . . . . 89, 90, 91, . . . . . .,
The air is filled with a sweet vanilla cake sent. Somewhere in the distance I hear birds chirping, loudly, and a river rushing with water. A soft cool breeze brushes against my face along with the warmth of a sun.
99, 100
Finally the subliminal stops and I feel a gentle touch on my right shoulder, tapping it twice.
