Izuku POV:

Leo and I loved Mama's presents, he could build and I, well I could go back to running. Anyways, the rest of our birthday was pretty standard for the most part. We had cake, played with our presents as well as Amaterasu, and went to sleep after we sugar crashed. Overall it was amazing, except for when I fell asleep. Guess I should start from the beginning. When I got into bed I said, "Hope you had a good birthday Naofumi." Then my eyes closed and a nightmare started the worst nightmare since I arrived in Houston.

The nightmare started with me getting beat up by everyone in my old elementary school while being spit on. I would have fought back, but then Izumi, along with the Bakugo and Todoroki twins came out of the crowd. They were about to start speaking when their mouths, I don't know how to explain it, but the mouths started to turn inside out eating off their skin.

When the skin was completely off the things grew feathers and I heard a horrible crunching sound. The things grew and their feet became talons and the fingernails elongating and sharpening. Then the side of their arms turned into wings. The skin started to come back, but instead of looking like Izumi and the Bakugo and Todoroki twins they looked like women who have never bathed and were raised in the wild. They screeched and started to revolve around me like a pack of vultures circling a dead body. Then the world turned black and white and flipped. When the color returned I was strapped in an all too familiar chair. I turned to my left and saw AFO was sitting next to me and listening to screams like music. Then I looked forward and saw a bleeding Sora and Hinata. There was so much blood. I wanted to go them, hoping everything else was a nightmare and this was real, but the blood. I was paralyzed and stuck staring at them.

When a drop of Hinata's blood reached the floor the entire nightmare turned red. The dream then flipped once again and I saw Leo and me upside down and stuck in a crashed car. In front of us, the harpies from earlier in my nightmare were eating mama. All I could see was them eating Mama alive and her screams, they were so loud. When the screams stopped I saw a harpy claw Mama's neck and lick the blood that sprayed out. Then the dream turned into a damp cave with a lady made out of the dirt in the middle. She turned to me and said, "You may have delayed my plans, but you will suffer. I will break you and the other child's spirits."

When she finished speaking a drop of water hit a puddle and I woke up.

"AHHHHHHH," I screamed out. I threw off my quilt and ran towards Mama's room.

Rushing through the door I see her already awake and I jumped into her bed and gave her the best hug I could and I cried into her shoulder. She just returned the hug and ran her hand through my hair, "Relax mijo, solo era un mal sueño. Solo un mal sueño ." She continued to mutter sweet nothings into my ear and tried to convince me it was only a dream. Then Leo and Amaterasu climbed into bed too and comforted me, trying to help Mama convince me it was a dream. They eventually did, but I wish they didn't.

The next few months until October were tense. After that 'nightmare' I stopped going to sleep regularly like I was starting to get used to. I began going back to how I was when I first Mama and Leo. I almost stopped sleeping completely and spent those 8 hours I was still awake practicing with my staff, knife, and water powers. I pushed myself to get better and discover new things about my powers. It was slow at first, and by slow I mean non-existent. For the life of me, I couldn't think of anything to do with my water powers and while I was getting better with my weapons, I wanted my powers to catch up. Eventually, against his better judgment, Leo told me to watch Avatar the Last Air Bender to see how the water benders/bender use their powers.

It was more useful than I like to admit. At night I would fill a bucket with water and practice a few moves. The first thing I would try was changing the direction of the water in an instant and not have it lose any power. It was hard at first, but I made a breakthrough. I realized I being too stiff and not flowing like water, so I decided to bring out my staff and move how I would when using it. I concentrated the water an inch above the tip of my staff and decided to move it how the tip of my staff moved. I started simple and simply spun my staff in a circle. I concentrated and had the water follow my movements.

When I was satisfied with how it was going and went faster and faster, and doing more and more complicated moves. In the end, I brought my staff down, but stopped moving as fast and twisted it in a small U. Then I went to the right with full force. I was proud of how I did, but I knew I eventually had to get used to no staff, but for now, it was acceptable.

I continued to somewhat copy some moves like taking water out of plants and freezing it. They were easier than I expected, but it was slow and needed to be quicker if it was going to be useful.

I knew Mama was worried about my health but knew I wouldn't stop even if she said anything. I told myself to take it easy but every time the image of her being eaten alive replayed in my mind and pushed me to go harder, during the night at least. During the day I went on as if nothing changed. Leo and Mama looked like they wanted to say something but never did.

Anyways, when October started I was super gloomy and Mama noticed this. She always asked why but I would respond with One word, "Japan." After that, she would stop asking for the rest of the day, she knew I didn't like talking about it.

My mood just kept on getting worse, and it reached its peak on October 27. It was officially a year since Hinata and Sora died and I hated it. Mama noticed once again and decided to take Leo and I to the store to see if that would cheer me up. She had me give Amaterasu her food and water and made Leo and I get ready to go out.

She led us to the car and had us buckle in our seatbelts and was driving to the mall when a pillar of rock appeared and flipped the car over. Then I heard a screech and saw the 3 harpies from my dream. All I could mutter was, "No. Not again."

So how was it. Good I hope. Anyways, this book will only continue to update daily until Tuesday when I will restart my other book. I know I said I would only update daily until chapter 14, but I want to keep my other book's old update schedule. So that's all I wanted to say. Bye.
